Really thin and soft.
I'm happy with these. I can use my phone with them on. Thin enough to layer under mittens if needed. Great for cool morning walks.

Thin, warm but not hot
I love 💕 these little glovesThey are life saver for me, I have been using them for twenty years since my son first bought me my first two pair. They are nice and thin to wear under mittens for outer wear in Winter and i have severe Raynauds syndrome so I use them to sleep during Summer as ac bothers my hands 🙌Absolutely could not do without them and always keep a spareThis not solicited I sincerely love these thin merino wool gloves

Good gloves - but touch screen is questionable
I bought these gloves and have used them all winter. Overall, I'd say that the gloves are pretty good, but quite honestly, despite the thin nature of the material, keep your hands warm while not sacrificing any dexterity. The tips of the index and thumbs are covered with some additional conductive material, presumably to work on capacitive touch screen. Unfortunately, that functionality didn't seem to work - ever - and eventually the tips became frayed after too many contacts with velcro.Overall, the gloves are still holding up and doing quite well. 4/5 stars, tho, because the touch screen function never worked and the glove finger tips became undone after less than 2 weeks.

i'm never without these
we have had several pairs of these in our family for many years.they are so light that, if you put one in your left jacket pocket and one in the right, no one can tell they're there, but they make a huge difference if you have to drive with a sub-freezing steering wheel or walk short distances in 20-degree / 20 mph wind.of course, they're not warm enough for extended exposure in extremely cold conditions.

Warm and dry
These fit true to size.Surprisingly warm, and they keep your hands dry in all but a deluge. Great for hiking.

Decent lightweight gloves
I was looking for some lightweight washable gloves to use as light, occasional PPE for my I.T. job. While these are well-sewn and made from good material, the touchscreen pads/grip part on the thumb and index fingers is very fragile and will come off. I've owned these gloves for about 2 weeks of occasional use, and the pads are completely gone on all but one finger.I ordered the large size, which is pretty snug on me and makes the gloves a bit difficult to remove without stressing the seams. I usually order an XL, but the L was all they had in stock, so beware.

I gave these as a gift and they were a BIG hit
My partner needed glove liners for his cycling gloves to deal with wind and 35 degree temps when he cycles his 18.5 mile (one way) commute to and from work at 15-20 mph. According to him, these are perfect. Naturally, he can and does wear the gloves for other outdoor activities. Kudos to Smartwool; their name always means quality.

So thin you can see through them.
These are ultra lightweight. If that's your main goal they are five stars. They are so thin though that I'm not sure they actually accomplish anything. The touch screen fingerprint work about 10% of the time which is not enough to actually count on it. I just end up taking the gloves off because I don't want to fight with the supposed touch screen ability.I've had smart wool socks and gloves before and they've all been five stars. I give these gloves two stars. I'm surprised that Smart Wool puts their name on these.

Thin enough to use as a base glove
Not as warm as I anticipated. However being thin it is possible to wear as an additional layer under another glove. Maybe in the warmer weather they will be ideal as a single glove. They do have added key pad touch to thumb and forefinger which is perfect when using a mobile device

Merino wool?
Merino wool? As an owner of Smartwool socks I am familiar with the performance and appearance of Merino wool. These gloves are supposedly a blend with synthetic. They appear to be 100% synthetic. I will have to wait till next winter tho know for sure. Shipment required a 2 week delay.

Great for running
Perfect for running. Keep hands warm yet don’t overheat.

They look nice, but perform terribly.
I paid 40$ for what is easily outdone by 5$ dollar store wool gloves. I bought these hoping it would be enough for biking to work in barely freezing weather (between 1° and -1°) and within two minutes my hands are numb from the cold. Very dissapointed with the product considering price and reputation. I'd rather use my spare woolen socks.
