Cowboys and Bandits 50 Movies

Dad's 91 years old and lives in an assisted living center. There isn't much he can do in his condition but he still likes old movies, especially westerns. We bought a 60-inch TV for his room and a blu-ray player for him. He lost the video library that he had to a squatter who moved into his house and started selling his stuff off. By the time we got her out, there wasn't much left. So, we've been trying to put together a collection of movies that we know he will enjoy. The product deserves five stars but it was packaged in a box with several glass bottles of condiments and the DVD case was pretty much destroyed in shipping. At least the DVDs seem to be OK and I've put them in a different box.

This item has 50 movies,none longer than 65-70 minutes.Reminds me of Saturdays long passed,when Saturdays had matinees when westerns were the bill,and usually had two on the marque.

Every disc is in perfect condition. 12 discs,each in a protective sleeve. A 23 page booklet contains a one paragraph description of each disc with the date the movie was made and the principal actors. Also an alphabetic list of each movie and its corresponding disc number.

Bought this as a gift for my Father who is a big western fan. He loves it, brings back memories of Saturday's at the movies when he was young. Keep in mind many of these are "shorts" and 80 plus years old, not the greatest quality, but very watchable.

There are very few newer than 1950.I enjoy the very early 1930's cowboy pioneersin this collection.I went through and did my my own ordering by yearswith 1930 first counting upward.The theme is about rustlers and con-men,with some movies that have been remade several time.The Charles King gets a lot of roles in these moviesand in fact seems more of a regular than the heroeswho come and go. Being a villain in Hollywood was regular work.I enjoy these films that remind me of LA's channel 11in the late 50's.

Lots of 1930 movies black and white.

Not the usual big names but guess they were popular in that time.Still enjoyable especially the Women !!

This is a wonderful mix of old westerns guaranteed to make you smile and keep watching. I don't know who most of the actors are but it is real fun to watch. Great value for this package.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my 91 year old father to help get him through the long winter months. Good quality considering the age of the original film stock. Great way for him to be able to see movies that he hasn't seen since he was a boy.
