These are the best badge holders. I always come back to these because of how strong they're and how well they work. I also like the look of them. The only reason I've had to buy these multiple times is because it tends to get caught in seat belt and when I shut the door and walk away it snaps.

I’m sure anyone looking at these as I did, are looking for something that will hold up over time and not lose an important item. I have had many styles and types for a tap card at work. If my holder breaks and my badge falls off somewhere, Im stuck for the night and it’s a big ordeal to get a new one. The reviews I have read on here said a weak point on this is the clip. Im pretty mechanically inclined and so far it looks decent. I am pushing it in about 1/2” which is plenty to get it around a belt loop. Im sure with this style latch, if you forced it further it would break but you can feel the resistance so think it’s common sense. I could be wrong but I will update this review if and when anything fails on this since it’s an important item to me and I appreciate others reviews. I believe this item states that the cord is stainless with a coating. It looks and feels to be true. A review on here said they took a magnet to see but a magnet doesn’t pick up stainless steel. The badge clip on this has fiber woven into it so it looks like if the plastic cracked over time the fibers would still hold the badge. Tension is pretty tight but probably to hold the weight of keys. The end of cord where it meets the badge clip has a metal end that swivels inside the plastic end. I think that helps it not bend and fray when your pulling on it. My cheap ones would break at this point. This looks sturdy and feels sturdy. I received two in the package. Time will tell how it performs. I normally don’t leave a ton of reviews and you do have to take into consideration that out of over 10,000 purchases, some will be negative and possibly because of misuse sooooooo…. I will update if a when something happens. If you don’t see an update, you can look at my purchase date and assume it’s still functioning fine. Just an update… Still working well. The clip lever can pop in front of hook if your careless but this is very typical of this type of hook. I have used this every day since purchase and this happened maybe once or twice. I still would recommend this item. Update: Still working well. Nothing broken. Been 15 months. Definitely would buy again Update: One of these broke last week. It’s been 19 months. The swivel plastic piece that attaches to stainless cable cracked and came off. I am going to order another one. Seems worth it to me. Update.. The second one broke at the same spot. It lasted about 20 months. I bought another set. I think they are worth it.

Despite how the picture may look this is NOT metal, the "screws" are simply molded plastic. The line itself is also plastic. Despite this, the unit itself is nice and sturdy and doesen't creak or bend. I've been using it about a month with a heavy set of building keys and have had no problems. I suspect I will eventually snap the line or just wear it out in due time, but for the price, and the fact you get two, I'm very happy with it. Update: After about a year the lines on both of them snapped and I was pleasantly surprised to find the line is in fact a metal cable with a plastic/vinyl coating. I was quite rough with them and had a pretty heavy set of keys on them so I wasn't too disappointed when they broke. For the price, I still think it's a good buy.

These are a lot better than the cheap rubbish versions on sale Went through 6 in less than 2 months of the cheap ones Thankfully I found these still using first one 2 months on use 5 days a week and still going strong.
