Black Tactical Sunglasses With Wind Guard (Glacier Glasses)

Great for skiing and motorcycling
I prefer these to goggles when skiing. They aren't as cumbersome and because your breath is more removed than with goggles they don't tend to frost over. They feels a little more free and open than the boxed in feeling I get from goggles. They work great for motorcycling as well because they do a good job blocking out the wind and look a lot better than googles.

Took a while, but worth the wait. (Updated in April)
I ordered these sunglasses to protect my eyes from sun, wind, and dust particles. Because of a medical condition, my eyes are extremely sensitive, and the 10380 Tactical Sunglasses with Leather Type Wind Guard "CE" seem to be doing the trick. They arrived a couple of days after the estimated arrival date, but I gave them five stars in spite of that. They were packaged securely and arrived with no damage. They fit my face perfectly, but I have a small face. For someone with a wider head, they may be too snug. The glasses are very attractive in an outdoorsy kind of way--hey, they're glacier glasses! They're very lightweight but seem to be fairly sturdy. I like the elastic cord--no more stowing my glasses, unprotected, in my purse. The wind guards are very stiff; I may try some leather conditioner to soften them up a bit. The lenses wrap around enough so that, even with the wind guards, I have excellent peripheral vision, which is essential while driving.I looked at a number of different glasses before choosing these--the price had a lot to do with it (under thirteen dollars), and they had a lot of good reviews. So, this is yet another good review. Great product for a great price--what's not to like?Update--It is April 22, 2013, and I've had these sunglasses for three months. I LOVE them. They're lightweight but sturdy, and the elastic cord is great. No scratches on the lenses, even though I wear them every single day (and early evening).I get compliments on these glasses nearly every day (even when they are hanging from the elastic cord around my neck). I don't think I knew they were polarized when I bought them, but they are--great for driving during the bright California daylight.Best sunglasses I've ever owned, for any price.

Great glasses from Stargate franchise.
Great classes, my third repeat buying. Only gripe is that they can be too easy to break sometimes but otherwise a great buy

JUNK
I do not normally give bad revies, but I have absolutely NOTHING good to say about these. I have had better from the Dollar Store! Don't waste your money! I gave it one star because Amazon would not give me the option for a negative star rating.

Great value but run small.
I really like these glasses. The lenses could be darker but they’re adequate. The temples are comfortable and the side protection is good. All of that is really good, especially for the price. That’s typical of Rothco. It’s not the best stuff you can buy but it’s among the best for the money and it’s generally reliable. The down side of this particular product is they run very small. Probably smaller enough that they won’t comfortably fit a slightly above average sized face. So, all jokes aside, if you don’t have a big head they’re great. You can buy three pair for the price of anything else close to this quality. They aren’t the best but if they fit you might as well wear them.

I’ve bought over twenty pairs of these. Used in both polar regions.
Yep.These are excellent for people who break and mangle their glasses often. I have used these same glasses for many years. I tend to break or loose them about every month or two. I prefer them because they fit my face perfectly well, are light, and upturned make a great hair holder for me.The breakdown is 90% my fault. They’re not bulletproof but what is with glasses? 10% of the time you can trust a hinge going out rather early but that’s with daily wear. They will get sucked off your face in a moving river. They’re good in cold and icy environments. Good wind guards for the sides, I use them regularly to drive boats. They fog up a lot, thus I crack them down a bit on my nose and let them breathe. They fog up too much if you’re actually ice climbing. Aviation shades are better suited to that specific pursuit anyways.I have ordered 20 or so of these off amazon over the years and a few of my tourists gave them to me after a trip in Antarctica as a tip because they’d never use them again. They would of given them less rave reviews than me. But for cheap glacier glasses, they’re pretty good. But ditch the neck string, it’s crap as a system but a nice piece of string for another outdoor project that you need string. A few good bumps to your head will usually break them, but if you’re good at not bumping into doors or low hanging bits of glacier ice, high five.- Phil, Polar expedition guide

Only got a couple months...
Out of these things. A real shame because I wanted to really like these. They run small but that's not a problem for me. My head is on the smallish side. (That's NOT what she said.)The "cord" that comes attached to the arms is completely worthless. It's so thin that it's more annoying than helpful. The worst thing about these is the little rubber whatchamawhozits (technical term) that are attached to each arm and go behind your ears. I guess for comfort? The arms (or are they legs? ) just slide inside them (giggity). They need to put a little dab of something gluish (glueish?) inside those to keep the appendages inside where they belong.Took the shades off to run inside for a few minutes (just popped on the top of the brim of my cap) and when I came back out and put them back on, one of the whatchamawhozits made a break for it and managed to escape, never to be seen again.Other than those 2 things (or 3 if you have a big head), these were great shades for under $20. I managed to get quite a few compliments about them.
