Wonderfully engaging book
I love educational books that captivate a child and make them engage with the teaching material. This one is cleverly designed using pets on wheels and a little feeding bowl - items children love! The activities in the book are well thought out and make full use of the pets and bowl to encourage the child to participate in the activity. The note to parents highlights the range of skills the activities cover and show how well thought out the educational aspect is. The colours and size were well thought out too. The size will fit into the smallest bag and children love pocket sized toys.Excellent product - fun, educational and exceptional value.

Creature Coding Pet Pairing Adventures
I like this LER3090 coding learning set because it is for beginners, it is also easy to use, I think it is a good way to start teaching children interactive games like this.My nephew was very happy and he was playing with the dogs, and I think considering the price you get what you pay for as there are other encoders better than this but of course with a much higher price.

Really basic
The price tag reflects how basic this product actually is. I was expecting some tiny, programmable animals, a bit like what my daughter uses in Infant School. The reality is that you get a couple of plastic toys with wheels and a glossy booklet with some basic activities. There are no electronics, no batteries required in this set. It is simple coding that does not require any technology. The small, glossy booklet is intended as an introduction to coding with key words highlighted and capitalised. There are different activities to complete, some using the plastic animals, including sequencing, directions and categorising. At the back of the booklet are some small, removable cards that are your “directions”: forwards, backwards, left and right. This is to guide the animals for some of the activities. To be honest, I am not really sure what the purpose of the dogs are. They have a removable bone and a water bowl; my children are going to get more fun and enjoyment out of racing the pets rather than using for “coding”.This is such a limited resource that I think it would be best used in the classroom as a foundation to coding, before developing these skills with more complex tasks. At home, this is going to offer a limited distraction before boredom kicks in.In conclusion, I am really disappointed with this set and think it is decidedly average. Yes, it teaches the basics of coding but I think there is scope to improve the product and increase its longevity.

Not good value for money
This is a waste of money! The rabbits are like a Kinder Egg toy.The book is tiny with very few tasks in.The tasks are very simple my 5yr old could do it with no help.Too simple to repeat. So once you’ve completed the book you can’t redo it.Get a kinder egg, pen and paper and save your money.

Boring
Didn’t realise you needed the larger robotic creature to benefit fully from this toy. We also have Botley, and he’s offered far more entertainment.
