Great replacement for 18 year old dryer.

You cannot get someone to fix your dryer for much less than the cost of a new one, so you need this kit. But you will also be needing some tools you likely do not have. You will like to have a circlip tool to reinstall the dryer wheels, although you can maybe use plier and perhaps not ruin the clips. You will also need the correct size drill bit to drill out the teflon glide strip rivets, and a rivet gun to install the new rivets... but its worth it. Crimping the felt seal need to be done firmly. Reinstalling the drum was difficult. Watch several videos of how people do it, I got my son to help me. Trick is to use the belt to lift the drum in place on the rear seal, then have your helper hold it while you reinstall the front dryer cover. This job probably has to be done every 8-10 years to maintain your dryer. Whomp Whomp Whomp... fix it please with this kit. I would not have done this if I hadnt had to disassemble my dryer due to a dead animal in the ducting... with it apart I could easily see where the felt guides were worn and that the 2 rollers were worn and bearing were grinding. This kit has everything needed to make your dryer quiet again.

Looks good quality

Product failed in under 5 months with normal use in a single family home. Not abused, this pulley wheel fell apart making machine seize and stop operating.

I’m not really sure what to say about this product, except when I did my search to determine if this would fit my older model Maytag dryer it said it would so I ordered it. The belt did not fit and neither did the tensioner. The only thing I used out of this are the wheels and I’m not sure that they were the right ones but it worked the rest of the stuff did not, but that was not a seller error. I blame it on myself for not making sure it was the exact fit. Just by looking at it it looked like quality products. It just wasn’t for my machine so I’m stuck with the unused portions.

Best 40.00 I ever spent and my noisy dryer is as good as new!The Item arrived quickly included the items listed in the kit that I needed for my repair!On a side note, you will need snap ring pliers to complete this installation. Luckily i had a pair on hand. do yourself a favor and while you've got everything apart for your install, get a vacuum and clean up all the filth and dust that has accumulated during the life of your dryer. this will not only make things run better, but will eliminate potential fire hazards of dust and lint that accumulates where it shouldn't, like around the heating coil for instance.If you have trouble figuring out how your dryer comes apart, there are some decent you tube videos that break it down pretty well. basically you remove the front door and that allows the front panel to pop forward and expose the other bolts/screws that you will need to remove in order to access/remove the bulkhead and then remove the belt from the tensioner and free the drum. once the drum is free you can replace or repair the roller wheels that support the weight of the drum.Have fun!!

Purchased this kit 3 years ago and the support rollers have totally failed and come apart. Really disappointed that they lasted only three years after original rollers went over 15 years. Dryer is in a two-person household, so it does not see above average use.
