these games are some old school faves from a handheld system that didnt get much attention from anyone else but me lol but i appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to play and enjoy these great games from my child hood again!

Weird, isn't it? Sonic Adventure was just out when this game was released, and it doesn't involve any modern Sonic action whatsoever. It's like a Genesis-era Sonic game, except released at a more recent time. There's nothing wrong with that, though. Sonic Pocket Adventure is certainly one of the best 8-Bit offerings the Blue Blur has ever starred in.Pocket Adventure borrows the level environments from Sonic 2 (Special stage, too), but adds different names (Cosmic Casino?), as well as new level designs to make it fresh again. The soundtrack is borrowed from the likes of Sonics 2, 3, & Knuckles, with a few original tunes into the mix. The bosses are definitely new (With the exception of a surprise appearance by Knuckles), and they are somewhat challenging.While the game does scream "rehash", it's not a remake of a Genesis Sonic game, and it fares much better than the more recent Sonic 4 ever does, mostly due to the fact that the classic high-speed platforming (Complete with the Spin Dash move) is extremely top-notch and fun, with the physics being spot-on. Like I said, the new level designs and bosses show that the game isn't a remake, but rather its own game. If you're looking for a good Sonic game to play, you should really get yourself a Pocket Color and buy this game. It's familiar, but not copied. You can think of it as a rehash, but in my perspective, it's an all-new fun and great classic Sonic game.

This is an awesome port, only on the Sega Genesis could be better. Any other console or hand held device doesn't play sonic as well.

If you've played the game boy advance version of sonic and then this one, you will notice that they have basically the same levels. Even the same bosses! The levels are designed differently but you can deffinetely see where sonic team got their ideas for sonic advance. Real creative huh. The "Sega" voice at the beginning brings me back to my genesis days filled with my beloved sonic games. The sound is pretty good and they included the famous end of stage music. The bonus stage is where you run through a quasi 3D slide thing and try to collect rings and avoid the obstacles. Since this came out far bafore sonic advance it deserves all of the credit. The graphics are superior as far as the neo geo pocket and gameboy color are concerned. If you still own a neo geo pocket color(geeze too many words in that name) This is one game that you should not not live without. I recently bought a new NGPC ... and just love playing sonic while traveling and during boring classes. Pick this one up before they're all gone. You won't regret it.

This classic game is as great on as it was on Genesis on the Neo Geo Pocket. The graphics are awesome for a portable game system and the game playing is just as responsive as it was on Genesis. Collecting everything in this game makes its replay value better than many portable games. If you have a Neo Geo Pocket you must get this game.

This is a twist on the classic Sonic 2 for Sega Genesis, but this version falls a bit short compared to that great classic. Still, this is a very good game, and is a very good choice for anyone interested in videogames.

This is the best NEOGEO game out there! Sonic graphics and speed are better than the PC game.
