NECA Avengers Captain America 18" Action Figure, Scale 1:4

So highly detailed and a great collectible for an excellent price. Looks great in a display case.

This figure is HUGE. It towers over the 12 inch Marvel Icons figures I have. Like another reviewer said, this figure is very heavy, and I'm probably going to have to make a display stand for him, because it is rather top heavy and I don't feel like having it tip over and fall onto a random passerby.The figure is wonderfully detailed. Seriously, its great. The paint on the second set of fists, particularly around the posts where it inserts into the wrists, tends to flake off, but that's a minor quibble. The shield is large, and you will have to remove the fist on the arm you wish to have the shield on to get it to fit.Once I can get a stand for it, it will be the centerpiece of my Cap collection. Just a great, great figure.

First, this guy is COLOSSAL! The detail is amazing, and my paint job is flawless! With a figure this large, any minute slop would stick out like a sore thumb. Great attention was given to detailing and paint on this figure- down to stitching, zippers, and folds. I personally think that Chris Evans' likeness is dead on as well. And, the "no nonsense" look on his face does the Captain America character justice. This is easily the best figure I own, and I highly recommend it to fans of the movie and the character. After an exhaustive search for an Avengers Movie Captain America figure for less, I was forced to pay the extra for this one. Nothing else out there, in my opinion is worthy for display. This figure may, in fact, be "overkill". But, I'd rather have it, than settle for the mediocre figures out there right now. This figure is for the collector that isn't ready to pay for a Hot Toys or Sideshow Collectible, yet isn't about to settle for a whack Mattel figure either.

Let me start this off by saying that I am a huge Captain America fan. When these came out I was wandering through my local Comic-Book shop and i stopped in my tracks. I was mesmerized and had to have it. Luckily I had a 20% off coupon so i got it for 80 bucks!It was the greatest...and worst 80 bucks i've ever spent. The figures are very large and come with NO DISPLAY STANDS. That's a horrible setback in my opinion. I put mine in the only place it would fit in my room, on the top shelf of my bookcase, near the back so there was low risk of falling.Unfortunately, even in a very sturdy pose, my figure fell MULTIPLE times (i'm talking about 7-10 times) over the course of time i've had it. Okay so no big deal. The figure falls down I put it back up. Except it's falling about 8 feet...onto the floor...Sadly my figure got scratched up in certain areas each time it fell. Nothing super noticable on the actual figure, but there is still some paint from his boots on my white wall...The fact of the matter is that even in a very stable position the figure is top heavy. I had him on the shelf for weeks and months at a time without ever moving, and then all of a sudden he'd just fall. to the ground with a gigantic crash.Until the last time it happened...the last time he fell was the worst, because not only did his paint get scratched up in places, but his ENTIRE FOOT BROKE OFF. Yes that's right, BROKE OFF. Not popped off, it BROKE. The plastic snapped straight off leaving me extremely upset and disappointed.Now dont you dare go and say that I mistreat my items and that it should have never happened. The fact is that I had an expensive figure that I thought was sturdy and stable (nothing is to say otherwise) and it fell multiple times. I now have a Captain America figure with a left foot that is gorrilla glued on so its no longer poseable. No big deal except that gorilla glue is foam so it looks ugly as well.Overall im disappointed that the figures come with no way to have them safely stand up without risk of falling and BREAKING the item. It's literally the only figure I own that i've broken in the last 15 years.I wish i could rate this item higher and give it a better review, but the fact that the foot snapped off leaves me feeling like it was a crappy build, and the fact that there's no stand and it's extremely heavy (leading to top heaviness) doesn't satisfy me to rate this as a 5.

Neca Avengers Captain America figure, "hands down is just that an action figure not a doll or a mere toy", but a Hi-Def affordable masterpiece. Novice and Vet collectors will appreciate the sheer awesomeness of this must have Marvel comic /movie icon. "Oh and with the other Avengers showing up soon" it's a big deal.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I bought this for my husbands birthday. Its a collectable so the condition of the box is important. The box this was shipped in was perfect so I wrapped it in that. When my husband opened the box, the box the figure was in was ripped, crushed, and filthy. I was so excited to have him open this and what a disappointment.

Awesome figure, quick, easy transaction and ship. Can’t ask for any more than that!

I disliked nothing about this figure. Love it and the awesome shield. Wanting Neca to make the new Stealth suit version next.
