Toppik Hair Fattener, 4 Fl Oz

Don't normally rave about a product but I can't believe the difference one little bead of Toppik made on my hair! I read other reviews carefully and learned that less is best, and not to use too much if you don't want a clumpy mess. I have been getting more self conscious about thinning hair so I thought I'd try Toppik based on the favorable reviews. It took a while to arrive so I was excited to use it when it finally arrived. I used it for the first time today, just a bead as advised, and rubbed it into my scalp after shampooing. Didn't think it was doing much but noticed a big difference when I used the hair dryer. I did also use mousse as usual. My hair was fatter and fuller and the thinning area was a lot less noticeable. People at work even asked if I had ' done something different with my hair'. If just a drop of this stuff makes such a difference, the bottle will last a long,long time. Thanks, this is just what I was looking for to relieve the angst of my thinning hair!

This product made my hair feel greasy not thicker. The best hair thickener I have used was Top Brass Hair Thickener. I have a few tubes left which I use for special occassions. Works great, however it seems to be no longer available. It was a Revlon product, obviously discontinued. Be great if they brought it back, even at a much higher price.

This would only work if you have minimal hair thinning problems. (like no scalp shows to begin with). No better than "Cowboy magic" hair shiner (thin consistency reflects how its NOT going to work).If you have more severe thinning problems, use this:Samy Fat Hair Creme Thickening 3.5 ozAfter you shower & towel dry your hair, use some spray on detangler ie: No More Tangles (so as to not pull your fine wispy hair out combing it wet), then get a dime to quarter size of this, smear it in your palms, gently work it in your hair & leave it in (this is important!). Let your hair dry.May take a little longer to dry, but the feeling & look of fullness & thickness is worth it if you have thin hair.

This Toppik product is fabulous!!! It thickens the hair shafts so your hair appears thicker than it is. It's a little strong smelling when you first put it on, but the smell goes away when it dries. It's easy to use, just work it into your hair after shampooing, let it dry and style. No mess, no fuss. It's been a real confidence booster for me. I hope they keep making it and I'll keep buying it!!

I bought this fattener 2 months ago. I have been trying to decide if it really works or am I just hoping it does. Should I buy more, or forget about it. My hair is curly, not long. I have some thinning hair, especially at the crown of my head where it swirls. On the product it says to use on wet or dry hair.DRY: First I tried it after I finished drying my hair. I thouht it might be heavy and ruin my curls, so I let my curls form from drying first. But it made my hair dry and dull. I did not like the look or the feel.WET: I tried it when my hair was wet, in just the area of my crown, twisting it a bit. I wasn't sure it really made a difference. One day I'd use it, the next not. I felt the crown area was always a bit dry and coarser when I used it. Not thicker or curlier. It didn't seem that much better. Maybe some. Not what I wanted.WHAT WORKED FOR ME: I wanted to retain my curls, but that they look thicker. I was ready to decide it doesn't really work. Then I though I'd give it a try with my hair not wet, but not quite fully dry. I dried my hair as usual, but stopped before it was fully dry. Then I put some Fattener on my fingers, rubbed my hands together and fluffed up my curls. I found it worked! My hair looks thicker, and it is still soft and curly. Also,(as a note) my hands did not feel greasy or oily after the application. I guess if you buy it, you really have to try it different ways. I see from other reviews, that it seems to work for some people and not for others. I took off 1 star because it took me so long to find the right method for me.

It came quickly and is reasonably priced. My husband hair looks thicker and he is thinning at the top of his head. I would recommend this to anyone that has thinning hair.

This stuff works very well. Like everyone else said, less is more. I put it on after I shampoo my hair and before I blow dry it. It definitely makes your hair look and feel thicker. I have used a lot of different things on my hair/head and am always skeptical about every product I try. I will keep buying this forever and ever. If you have short hair, like I do, this small bottle will last at least six months, if not longer. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

I haven't seen many reviews on the Toppik Hair Fattener so I want to put this out there. I sm an African American woman with Baby Fine naturally curly (Not Kinky) hair. I mean the kind you can see through with a good wind 💨...... I've tried many hair thickening products that did make my hair look fuller but also made it dull and gummy. BUT THIS STUFF!!!! My hair is FULL, feeling NATURAL and SOFT . Not dull. I only use about a nickel to a quarter size amount on slightly damp hair every day, I wash my hair every three days. This product helps build confidence in wearing my natural hair because I really don't care for wigs and extentions.

My hair is thin and thinning thanks to menopause and I've spent the last 5 years trying every product out there. This is the first one I've reviewed and that's down to the fact that it really does help. It does seem to make my hair fatter! Even better is the price, it's probably the cheapest thing I have bought and it's the only one I will buy again.

Losing more hair after using this but not sure if it's related.It comes off easily in rain and makes your head sweat a lot more

Don't like this, does n't seem to work! Sticky and looks as if hair is greasy.Does n't seem to fatten hair either. Won't buy again waste of money!

AmaIng product, doesn't weigh the hair down and makes it easier to style with volume! Does exactly what it says on the tin!

Gives hair a fair bit more volume. Holds short hair in place fairly well too. After using this I needed to use no other gel to hold hair in place. Only downside is the tacky residue left behind after application. A hand wash is definitely required.
