not a lot of rose
There's rose petals in it for sure, but they don't leave a very big impression upon the flavour. It's more just earl grey with a couple petals tossed in for visuals. Good earl grey, mind you, but not really what it should be according to variation. I take some of their full rose tea and mix it in with this, which fixes the problem, but on it's own it's really just earl grey.

Chemical Smell
I'd like to start by saying, I rarely leave poor reviews and I really really wanted to leave a excellent review for the product. Positives: packaging is beautiful, the seal on the bag is strong, the bag material is strong and didn't have any punctures. loose leaf, and the leaves are a good size.Negatives: The rose petals were very sparse. I know that every company's blend ratio is different as it really boils down to preference, but I was expecting more. I have my own rose buds for tea so I can always add more to a blend if need be. However, I am really hesitant to continue to drink this tea because the aroma when I opened the bag was overwhelming. I am not particularly sensitive to smell, and I know that Earl Gray has the aroma of the bergamont oil. Usually that aroma is really soft and pleasant, but this tea smelled as if someone had sprayed strong perfume in it. I don't know if the oil used for the tea isn't quality, or if maybe during manufacturing there was an error, but it smelled distinctly chemical. I may just scrap the tea and keep the bag to make another blend. Really unfortunate :(

Disappointingly bland
I am always eager to try different Earl Grey tea brands. This one, sadly, is just bland. There is very little if any bergamot essence. The leaves are nice and long and appear unbroken but the flavor is wanting. If you like flavorful Earl Grey teas, this one is not for you. If you are looking for a basic black tea with nice dried leaves, try it. For me, this was deeply disappointing. I am hoping to find something to mix it with to boost the flavor.

No Rose according to this nose...
This is a lighter Earl a grey, as I expected with the rose. But, the flavor of the brewed tea is dusty, to me. The Rose is lost, as one would expect with stronger flavors of black tea and bergamot, unless a rich Rose is used. Not the case here. It’s a delicate cup of tea... just this side of dusty.

Don't buy this brand.
This is not great. The "tea" is all stem and center vein. NO LEAF at all. The packaging is the only nice part. Very disappointed. Doesnt even deserve the one star Amazons system forced me to give.

Taste and Smell amazing
Great improvement compared to Twinings. It doesn't smell or taste artificial. You won't feel like you're drinking perfume. If you compare it to Twinings (even before brewing), you can clearly see the difference in texture , size and fragrance. Plus this is organic. It is better to brew black tea because you get the most out of the tea; the color, the aroma, & the taste will be VERY VERY different than making it as a tea bag.I use about one cup boiling water with 1 TBsp of tea in a small ceramic pot. For brewing, I use a stove kettle. After bringing it to boil, bring the heat back down to very low. Leave the teapot on for 10 to 15 min, not more.I pour about 1/3 black tea in a cup and 2/3 boiling water on top. Depending on how dark or light I want my tea, I change the ratio.

Tea Tottilers Delight
The lose leader earl grey and rose petal tea is wonderful for Tea Lovers like myslef. Just make sure you have a tea strainer or a French press. It’s a good strong blend, Perfect for either morning or afternoon... and you don’t need to use much. You get allot of bang for your buck!
