Installation: Not too bad. Took about an hour and a half, this was my first project under the hood of a car besides changing the oil.Quality: Everything was in the box that arrived. The filter was already pre oiled and everything.Sound: I was a little skeptical that the intake would sound much different than the OEM one. Boy was I wrong. The sound is so nice. When you rev the engine up a nice deep growl comes alive around 4000 RPM. While driving the engine sounds normal under light driving but when the pedal is pushed down a bit the growl comes out. The car just sounds nicer now, like a high quality sports car with a much stronger engine.Performance: The pedal response is definitely greater. The car has more pickup as a result of the increased flow.Overall: This intake is worth the money. The installation is not hard, with little mechanical knowledge I managed to install it in about 90 minutes. The sound is really sweet. You'll fall in love how deep the growl is. Buy this intake.

Received item today, installed same day. Everything came in nice packaging. Mine included the cleaning kit and decals as well! Install was pretty straight forward, I work on cars regularly but I think if you're decent with your hands shouldn't be a problem. Only suggestion i have is when installing new system, snug the coupling up on the intake first instead of the throttle body like the directions state. I found this much easier. As far as performance, definitely in line with the projections and other reviews. Responsive and nice sound. Night and day. Worth the purchase!

Works as advertised. Noticed an immediate horsepower increase along with throttle response when stepping on the pedal. MPG increase is definitely noticed too. 10/10 definitely recommend for any car enthusiast looking to make their first aftermarket upgrade to their Honda Civic. It is CARB legal so smogging is not an issue. I love this intake and will continue to order AFE intakes for my future vehicles. You won’t regret it!

Instructions for install come with the package and are very easy to understand. Took me a little less than an hour to install. Getting everything back in was a bit of a task but not terrible. Sounds amazing on 2012 Honda Civic LX. Below 3000 rpm it sounds like a normal quiet car. After that mark it gets a nice deep tone to it and sounds great for a SOHC 1.8. Best intake system I have personally owned. Noticable throttle response difference. You won't regret this purchase.

Pretty awesome. Noticable diffence at low rpm. Good sound, nothing over the top. Could have had better quality hose clamps for piece from throttle body to intake but other than that lovn it so far. Next up custom exaust with maybe an invidia tip.

This product is dangerous to the vehicle and i would highly recommend not buying , my vehicle started having so many problems due to the sensor port not being cut right

My car had lagging problems ever since i installed a new axle back borla exhaust with a resonator delete. Now, ever since... my civic has now been running wayyy smoother and sounds much louder with a nice tone. As well as removed some rasp of the exhaust as well. Beautiful intake.

Increase in acceleration is a plus....Installing was not hard at all.4 stars because I did not receive the filter cleaning kit that was supposed to come with.Bonus***** CARB LEGAL IN CA!

I’ve installed intake systems from K&N and AEM on other vehicles in the past. This kit is the best I’ve used so far. High quality components, looks and fits like a stock piece.It retains the lower section of the factory intake but it has an opening on the back side that faces the firewall.I needed a 5.5mm socket to undo the intake clamps on my car. They have a philips head too but I couldn’t get enough torque on them. Something to keep in mind as 5.5mm sockets aren’t too common.

Oh man! What else i can say... Everyone who bought this seemed to be happy having it! Well.. Pros here is that, you dont have to worry much about your filter getting dirty fast. As it is like a stock intake wich i prefer really. Not going to worry about heat soak compare to other intakes for this model aswell.I disconnected negative battery just to make sure. Idled it for 10mins then turned off to adopt it. Then drove few km normaly thwn voillaaaa! The joy on my face! LoLIts on my 2013 civic EX. Definately will recommend. Everything they say is true! See it for yourself!

If you want some gas savings and performance improvement this is perfect for you. Easy to instal as well. Only took me about 36 mins and 43 seconds, maybe 47 seconds. You have to oil it every so often though. Gives you a bit of a noise, especially around 3,300 rpms but other than that, you don't hear a huge difference in sound but also I think I am used to it now. I find it is enjoyable and perfect for me. Wish is was cheaper.

Easy to install if your comfortable working on the cars, sound in great when pushing the gas. Definitely not to loud, you do not even hear it when driving at low speeds or the highway. No drone sound at all! Fit perfectly on my 2015 Honda Civic EX 4 Door. Totally worth it!

Makes your car sound awesome, and gas mileage has improved. I drive back and forth to work every day, drive around on weekends, and a full tank lasts a week and a half on my Civic. Plus it makes the car sound awesome.
