Fantastic customer care, a quality item at a great price
Nowadays It's quite a rarity to get excellent customer service before, during and after ordering something from a company on the Internet, most totally blank you, some offer good customer service but never actually follow it up when something goes wrong etc, we've all been there, well third company is none of the above, they are totally professional, courteous, and bend over backwards to help, so what have I bought, you'd think it was something of high value but it's not, it is a quality pedometer, and to me that says everything you need to know about the people at this company, if they go into keeping a customer happy with something like this you know it's going to be a real pleasure dealing with them, and no I'm not related to our know anyone there, I'm just Someone who values people that go the extra mile. Talking of going the extra mile that's exactly what this quality item encourages you to do, it's extremely easy to set up as the instructions are very easy to follow but incase you do have some difficulty in following the written instructions included with the item don't worry, you can contact the company via phone and they will talk you through it, like I said they go above and beyond. Once you've set up all your settings you can start to use your pedometer, you can place it in a pocket, wear it around your neck on the lanyard that's attached to it or you can use the added clip to clip on to a belt etc. Having used it along with the GPS on my phone it is very accurate in recording distances, one feature that I really like is that it won't add steps accidently like most pedometers on the market, you won't find yourself doing 5,000 steps when all you've done is watch telly all day but I suppose some people like to think they have, this has a 10 step feature, once it knows you have walked past 10 steps then it starts recording, but don't worry about losing the 10 steps as they are added, it's a great feature, I'm not an expert at these reviews but all I can say is its a great price, quality item from a company that actually does care about its customers, you have nothing to lose, apart from some of that Xmas weight you may have put on, you'll find that as the steps add up you want to keep adding, and seeing the calories you're burning is always a good motivator.

highly recommended - but!
I have often wondered how far I walk my dog, for along ravines, woods and fields there is little way of calculating so I invested in the 3D TriSport. It is great. I have done a test on a measured mile (along a canal towpath) and it actually measured a mile, so it was obviously calculated properly - but. The 'but' is that it was the hell of a job setting-up the device. I tried either three or four times. Someone, somewhat younger tried, but no luck, then eventually on the second attempt my son tried, and hey presto! It works. I have to tell you that the company went to extremes for me to get it working, even to printing-out a separate sheet of 'idiot' instructions! The problem is we found was not the difficulty in understanding the instruction, but that the thing did not give enough time to digest them before switching off. I could not keep up with it. As I mentioned, it took my son two attempts, but when he had the gist, he programmed it very easily indeed. So the lesson is to learn what you have to do, then get on with it - quickly. But I repeat, a great thing, I use it all the time and was particularly useful when taking the dog with us when cruising the canals over the past tow weeks, finding places to walk. Highly recommended. Tom Crossly

Realalt Pedometer - better than I expected
This product looks exactly the same as the seller's display images. It comes delivered on a card sealed by very stiff plastic, likely originally designed to be on display in a store. Spending (far too many) hours at a desk every day, I have been wondering if I ever get enough excercise during the day. Walking seems to be the easiest (and least expensive) way, especially given the frequent insertions in newspapers about the benefits of walking so many thousand steps a day. It wasn't easy counting steps as I walked - my wandering brain kept forgetting where I was! - and so I decided to try a pedometer. The choice was far greater than I thought and so, thanks to the user reviews on Amazon, after checking out a number of products I decided to try this model. Setting up is simple - if you have small fingers and your mind doesn't wander! Thankfully, there are videos customers can log into online. These show exactly the same information as the instruction leaflet but using a step counter as a visual aid. What had I been doing wrong? Letting my finger press the wrong button every time! Okay, once I realised my tiny error I could get going and the little gadget was up and running. I have worn it now for almost a week and have been surprised that without even trying I have been walking far more each day than I realised. I had only to add extra steps to pass my target (which I have done every day). What's more, I've found that I wanted to pass my target and so if I was falling back a bit, I took time to do some walking. Amazing that a little thing like this could actively stimulate me into action. That aside, I have to say I was very surprised how easily I adapted to carrying this pedometer and how much I began to enjoy walking, if only to pass my daily target. There is no learning curve once it is set up and if the battery lasts a year as the seller maintains before needing to be replaced then there is likely no need to change the settings (unless you want to up your target steps). Because the unit doesn't keep records once the battery is removed, make sure you keep the instruction leaflet to refer to next time. I like this product, it isn't hugely expensive and I'm sure it will do me a lot of good. Easy 5 star rating.

SIMPLE AND RELIABLE
I have used one of these units for about 5 years., worked perfectly until I accidently drowned it. So I purchased another one. :) It records daily steps, calories. and total steps walked, also has an accurate clock too. It can be used with a belt clip; but amazingly , even just putting it in your pocket, it still works well recording steps. Only thing is, that it may not record the first few steps you make (in the house) for example. But once you start walking outside the unit catches up with the steps you took, and from then on is fairly accurate. Once you read the instructions , then its easy to set up; in fact the instruction booklet is nice and clear, with readable text. So many of these products have poor, small instructions, which are hard to read; Not the case here. Very easy to read. For me, this is probably the best pedometer I have found at its price point, and if you look after it, could last you a long time, just don't drop it in the water like I did. Highly recommended.

Very good pedometer, but depends how you're using it ... updated to five stars and updated review
*** July update *** What has emerged is that I had a faulty pedometer. Having gone through the process of changing the device. I now have a pedometer which is much more accurate. For this price point it is brilliant. If you need more accuracy, you'll be paying £150 odd for a Garmin with GPS and error correction. For that you'll get an improvement of maybe 10%. I have tried several other pedometers at around this price and this one outstrips them all. Additionally, Tania at Realalt is excellent and genuinely wants to help. Buy one :-) ** Original Review ** At this price point, this is a very good pedometer. Another major plus is the customer service from Realalt which is flawless. Prior to delivery, you'll get an email with tips and invitation to reply if help needed. Responses are prompt and helpful. Setup is reasonably simple. So why the 4 stars rather than 5? It seems to be there are basically two reasons for a pedometer. One to count steps for a defined exercise or activity such as a long steady walk. For that, this a very good option. I've done it and it's pretty accurate vs what I counted. The second reason is what I mostly want it for. Clip it on in the morning. Take it off at bedtime. See how close I got to the 10k recommended step target. For this, and I'm sad to say this as I so wish it wasn't the case, the pedometer isn't that brilliant. For two main reasons. One, it's out by as much as 30% at times on short, less structured walking. For example round the house and garden. Tip here: it won't start counting until you do 10 steps. However it does register them and adds them later. Second problem, it counts when in the car. Not constantly, but I presume some movements it mistakes as steps, and registers them. This wouldn't be a major issue if you could pause the counting, but you can't. So in summary, great as a defined exercise tool, not so good as an all day step counter. Probably one of the best of this type, bat this price point though.

Beware the belt clip
Colour : pink I have purchased exercise things before but never a pedometer, I have used cheap ones before that I received for free but they were always rubbish. I recently decided to try to get fitter, and to do this by upping my daily steps, each day to assist with weight loss a d to feel healthy so, into the deep dark murky world of "pedometer I ventured. I wanted one that was accurate and didnt require blue tooth. Of the many hundreds of different one available I settled for this one simply due to the many excellent reviews and the cheapish price point. I didn't want to wish to spend a fortune on an item I might give up on. The Reviews looked really good and the functions seemed basic and plenty enough it also sounded easy enough to set up. It arrived on the due day as it was bought with Amazon prime . Set up was actually really really simple even just by using the supplied simple to follow instructions, the hardest part was measuring my stride so just used info in the book supplied and that bit was easy. So it is on, one day in, and am both amazed how many steps I actually do, I do a lot more then I thought i do. this device is to use, and very accurate. Excellent item realalt. Would definitely buy again. Only negative is lost belt clip on first day of use as it's far to lose, so please use lanyard supplied

Good product
This works well. Sturdy. Clip stays in place. Seems accurate. I took ages deciding which pedometer to buy and I'm very pleased with this one. Does what it's supposed without a load of irritating extras.

Funktion
macht was er soll.
