Only problem was putting it together. It comes in lots of pieces. This is a great product. Same product as its competitors but way cheaper. Just remember when putting it together the control lever goes on the left side and the open close bracket goes on the right side. Just as others have said this spreads product very well. Buy it if you want a spreader that will last and spread nicely.P.S. if your concerned about the spread rate and calculations, it's really easy. You just look at how many pounds your bag of whatever is, and the square footage of cover the manufacturer says it has,and divide them to find out how many pounds of product you need to cover 1000 square feet. Once you have determined how much product you need for 1000 square feet then go off the chart that is provided with the spreader for the correct setting number. Very easy math. Good spreader buy it. I was not compensated for this review. Just a review from a guy who likes his lawn.

This spreader was an assembly nightmare. The instructions and an impediment to putting it together and we had to keep taking it apart and putting back together to finally get the assembly correct. The hardware package was missing some bolts and the manufacturer was completely unresponsive to requests. We had to go buy them at Lowe's. I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it to my worse enemy.

It's worth what it costs compared to others. Assembly was a challenge and unexpected. It disperses granulated peletts quite well and very fast.

I've used the spreader once since receiving the kit in late winter. The spreader rolls easily compared to others I've bought, worn out and trashed. I can't testify as to the "50 lb" capacity, but it holds as much as you want to push. My ~2 acres are not smooth.Quality is better than the others I've owned in the $50 to 125 class. The tires are rubber on plastic wheels. Hopefully they will stay inflatable, unlike others. I've had trouble with rubber-like tires on plastic wheels holding air. What is it about rubber tires from China and that toxic smell?The hopper is very adequate. I was not planning to use the removable mesh screen, but I did. This spring's feed/preemergent beads had no clumps, but the mesh would have stopped them before getting to the slots. The handle seems to be stout enough to survive. The mechanism is smooth and of reasonable quality. Be careful to start slow (small opening) since this spreader can really spread!! Time will tell, but this one looks promising.

This is by far the best spreader I have ever used.Included instructions & diagrams to assemble SUCK....see the youtube videos for a better idea but go with common sense on rod placements shown. Exit gate is very controllable as far as sticking or hanging-up issues go, make slight adjustments to get desired spread results.Beats the crap out of all the Scott spreaders or any box-store ones out there. Rolls along nice, feels rugged compared to others, can lock the flow setting and open or close the gate without problems or jams, cleans easily, cover for top is a great feature, not being able to easily break it down to transport to other properties or store may be an issue unless you have a truck or SUV and space. No more piles of "stuff" on lawn due to the gate jamming.

Very good spreader.A bit challenging to put together.

Looks to be the same spreader as the Earthway 2150 with 1" smaller diameter wheels and $60 less expensive. These wheels are steel which I like better than the poly wheels on the 2150. Diameter seems plenty big enough. I like the quality of this spreader, my only question is how long the enclosed gearbox will last? I hope it's made as well as the rest of the unit.

I gave this to my husband as a gift. He loves it. It is easy to use and doesn't tip over. It did take a little while to put it together but that could have been just me!
