Great Product
I just received my new memory foam. I have owned one before with great results, so when I needed one for my new king size bed the decision was easy. This price is great for a 3" 5lbs memory foam. I previously had a 3" 3lbs. My recommendation is get a minimum of 3" and a 4 or 5 lbs topper. This particular one turned out to be wonderful. My only other suggestions, and I knew because I have had one before, is to unpack it right on top of your bed; because it is shipped vacuumed sealed and compact. As soon as you break the bag seal it will start to grow on you and be hard to move/handle; already being on the bed solves that problem. The smell when unpacked was virtually nonexistent. I put fresh sheet on and went right to bed with no problem. Again, I have own others in the past and this particular memory topper is grade A, top quality. Immediate improvement in sleep and comfort (and help my aching back). If you have persistent back problems, this will help. Also there is a difference in the quality from a memory foam topper made in the USA vs a Chinese made topper. Again, best advice is USA made, minimum 3", and 4 or 5lbs minimum. This one is sold in the 3" and 4" so a great choice.

Too Big, Over-Sized, Extends Beyond Mattress, Pulls Sheets Off Mattress
3", full-size 5# topper is too big (55" x 76") for a full size (54" x 75") mattress (and full-size sheets). 5#, 3" thick foam does not lay flat. Waves created by being too big for sheets. 5#, 3" foam is very firm - good and bad (not soft). Once unwrapped, this heavy, flexible, bulky product can NOT be re-packaged and thus can not be returned. Mine also has razor cuts on the surface that presently faces up. It is such a pain in the ___ to turn it over, I have not looked for these cuts on the present underside. These cuts are relatively shallow (1/8" to 1/4" in depth) and are mainly 3'" to 4" in length. There are many (50 to 100?) of these cuts on the top surface, mainly located in the central portion of the mattress topper. I suspect that these cuts will lead to crumbling of the mattress surface. I can not image that they are accidental as there are too many of them. I can not see that they are a positive addition in any way. I should not have kept this topper.Edit, 01-24-2019: I contacted the vender and they offered a refund or replacement - after I sent it back to them. But that is the whole problem, there is no way to send it back to them. They suggested that I get two or three local high school students to help me vacuum shrink the topper after I place it into a heavy duty garbage bag. I do not have a shop-vac, I have a carpet sweeper and I do not have any high school students on stand by to work for free. If I could have done all that, then I would have sent it back the day after I got it.2nd Edit, 01-27-2019: After numerous emails in which I explained that I would NOT and could NOT send the topper back - I finally asked the unhelpful merchant "How could I CUT the excess 3.5" off the bottom and 3" off one side?" It then took several additional emails for this extremely thick headed merchant to understand that I was serious; that I wanted to cure the main problem (over-sized). He finally and very reluctantly informed me that I could cut it with an electric carving knife, but that would void the warranty as it must be returned in one piece. $18 later, I purchased a Proctor-Silex Electric Carving Knife (new). It took about 1 1/2 hours, I was very careful, I place a 2' x 4' sheet of 5/8" plywood under the mattress topper (over the actual mattress); positioned the topper bottom edge 3.5" beyond the plywood, marked 3.5 " with a black felt pen line on the topper and slowly cut away. I was able to follow my top guide line and to use the plywood edge below to make a straight vertical cut. It was not difficult, just time consuming - getting the plywood edge and the excess plywood into the exact position to make my continuous cut. After 46" cut everything had to be re-positioned to cut of the final 10" +/- from the bottom. Then the same procedure was followed on the side to remove 3". I did this operation in my bedroom with the mattress remaining in position on its platform. Of course I pulled the edge that I cut off about 2" beyond the edge of the mattress to make sure I did not cut the mattress. Thus, I solved the main issue (over-sized mattress topper). The 3" thick 5# topper now lies flat on my mattress and it does not pull my sheets off anymore! I did additional review reading and found one written by someone familiar with the chemistry used to produce these foam - mattress's and toppers. The numerous 3" to 4" cuts that I see on the top surface and bottom surface of the topper are not cuts - they are cracks in the foam produced by not allowing the foam to fully, properly cure. He suggests that they are defects caused by cost cutting measures. I can only assume that this topper will not last anywhere near the 11 years that my prior 2" memory foam topper lasted. As this 3" topper has now cost $235 purchase price plus $18 (carving knife), totaling $253 - it will have to last at least 5 years for me to consider that I got my money's worth. It's firm and comfortable - now, but I can NOT see it lasting for 5 years?3rd Edit; 03-26-2020: I've now had my 3", 5# full size topper for 15 +/- months. These "cracks" have deepened slightly, say from an average of 3/8" to presently an average of 5/8". However they have not effected the comfort of the topper, what-so-ever. It is comfortable! The most significant problem that I had with my topper was that it was over-sized for my full size (54" x 75") mattress. After numerous emails, they finally told me that I could cut it down (voiding the warranty) with an electric carving knife. I did - it was not difficult. I cut it 1" less than my mattress width and length, assuming that it would stretch - so far it has not stretched. The 3", 5# memory foam topper remains comfortable and it allows myself to sit on the edge of my 12" memory foam mattress below the topper and to get up - out of bed without difficulty! Something that I could never do with just the 12" memory foam mattress! I paid about $235 for this topper (w/free shipping, plus $18 for the electric carving knife)) and I still feel I must receive five (5) years of service from this topper to get my monies worth. I'm beginning to believe that this might just be possible?

Best I have found.
I have purchased 3 of these over the years. For my own bed, kids at college, and one extra for camping and trips (I put it on top of the hotel bed). I have had many experience with memory foam, and this is the best I have found. I have a Tempurpedic pillow, but I have never had the topper to compare it, this claims 5lb density (but it does not actually have the weight it claims), and Tempurpedic is 3lb density. . I have tried the cheap "gel" infused toppers, (Costco) and I did not like them. I feel this is far superior. I have been sleeping on mine for 5+ years. FYI: I do like a soft bed so that I can sleep on my side without putting my arm to sleep (cutting of the blood circulation). I also put a spandex cover on it, which helps you get the maximum pressure reductions. Using a stiff (non stretchy sheet) does not allow the mattress to mold to your body. Perhaps it is just me, but I have never had a problem with a mattress being "hot" or holding heat underneath me.

STOP!!! DON'T BUY
I purchased this topper on May 20,2019 for over 300 dollars and for that price you would think it would last more than one month. But as you can see in the pictures it is already splitting. I contacted the seller to return it or replace it but they refused because it is past the 30 days. So the saying you get what you pay for doesn't apply In this case . I paid more thinking I was getting more and all I got was taken for $345.00.. Don't buy this unless you've got money to burn..

Density if off
I ordered this exact topper approx. 4 years ago and it was great, perfect. I ordered it again and received it yesterday. I immediately noticed a big difference when I simply touched it. Much softer, not nearly as firm. I suspected something before I even took it out of the plastic because it was a different color than the last one I ordered. I would say the one I received was a 3 lbs density, very soft. Sad face.
