Tachyon GunCam for Clays (2020 New Model)

Ok, here's why such a low review.I've had this camera for 3 days of frustration. For the price you would think you should just be able to plug and play, well I can't. I have been emailing jc at support for 3 days. The problem is getting the camera to Wi-Fi to my android phone- it won't. I've gotten the normal solutions like reinstall App, etc. but still no Wi-Fi connection. i't is on my phone (Wi-Fi connection). But the App must not recognise it. It would be nice if support would get right back to me when dealing with the problem but it seems it takes hours to hear back. I've even left my phone number to have support call me to get this resolved, but alas so much for customer (no)support.This thing is going back and I'll order a Shotkam for a couple of hundred more.Update Dec. 25:I requested a return - replacement from Amazon, the new camera came in 2 days. I have shipped original cam back to Amazon but return status is not showing up.The new camera worked right out of the package, does what it is supposed to do. Takes good video AND Wi-Fi actually works. As for actually using as intended, hunting shots, skeet, clays- the weather and the birds haven't been cooperating. I'll update again when I get more time in on this rig.Ok, went out this morning, temp hovering below 30F. Full battery but the cam would only stay on for a minute give or take some seconds. LiOn battery doesn't like the cold. Shouldn't be too much of a pain to unhook USB extension when not needed.Update next week.

I purchased this to help diagnose my shooting errors, however it never really worked correctly. The videos were all corrupt and not viewable. I contacted the Tachyon support and they replaced the camera with what they said was an updated model. It worked a couple times out but then everything shut down because of Covid-19, and I had to return to Canada. When I tried to use it in Canada the battery wouldn't charge and I had to send it to Houston to have it replaced. Shipping cost me over $100.00. When I got it back it wouldn't stay on. It would turn on but as soon as I closed the bolt on my semi-auto it would shut off. I contacted support again and they sent me another camera. It worked twice and now it's battery won't charge. I emailed support again, but now they don't reply. I should have spent the extra money and purchased a Shot Kam which is made in the USA. This camera is obviously very flawed and of very poor quality. Don't recommend at all.

Easy secure barrel mount, Tachyon App works well to Wi-Fi back to my Apple iPad Pro and phones-apple and android, It allowed me to calibrate the reticle to where I wanted to point and well as zoom level. Connection was easy. I also copied video files to computer to check out videos on big screen tv. I like viewing shooting results on my tablet.I trust you will get valuable training and shooting for your group with the Guncam

I bought this for my husband’s birthday. He loved it! Arrived on Saturday and he was at the gun club on Sunday! He said he loves it!

La batería dura 5 minutos por lo que no sirve para nada esta cámara.

1- The RoadCam app is required to use the camera with a phone or tablet. The app is garbage!!!! Crashes often and looses communication with the camera a lot.2- The camera is low quality. The first one I had failed- would not turn on. Tachyon warranted it and sent a new one. The new one failed the same way! Tachyon won’t warranty the second.3- The mount is a poor design.
