Red Dove Mother of Pearl Inlaid Metal Cremation Urn with Velvet Bag

I should start off by saying that I'm not a review writer; however, I was so impressed with this item I wanted to say something about that.I purchased this Urn for my mother who actually passed away almost 6 years ago. I have been grieving and unable to bring myself to look at her in the cremains state. After she passed away I noticed an unprecedented number of hummingbirds where ever I went, especially in my yard. They came very close to me, which I had never experienced before. I believed it was a sign from my mother and those hummigbird encounters gave me so much comfort in a time of loss. Becuase of that I decided that the hummingbird was something I wanted to incorporate into whatever I would do to honor her. This Urn is absolutely gorgeous. The craftsmanship is superb, the paint is a beautiful shade of blue and mother of pearl design is flawless. The only criticism I have is that the lid is a bit challenging to line up to the Urn to securely screw on; this is a minor detail over all, and I was able to figure it out. Packaging was well thought out, and the Urn was well protected for transit. The delivery was as promised within one day. I am extremely satisfied with the product, the seller, and the delivery. I love the Urn, and I know my mother does, too... It brings me much comfort to look at it knowing that she is resting in my home in this lovely keep sake. Thank you.

This urn is made out of metal and is very sturdy. I like the screw cap lid as another urn I bought a few years ago was wooden and with a screw. This feels much more secure. My Nanny loved watching hummingbirds outside her bedroom window and her favorite color was blue. When I saw this, I knew it would perfectly reflected her. I’m very happy with my purchase! Worth the money!

I was so hesitant to order an urn for my beautiful mother-in-law from Amazon, but am now SO glad I did!! The urn is a beautiful piece and pictures don't do it justice. We all agreed the price of urns at the funeral home seemed very overpriced and like an "in the moment" expense, so we agreed to have mom returned to us in the container provided by the funeral home. As we were planning her Funeral Mass, I knew she deserved something more than an impersonal black box to signify the beautiful person she was to so many and this urn was a perfect choice!! She loved hummingbirds!The lid is VERY secure (I suggest you practice closing the lid before you place the cremains inside, as I was nervous and it seemed like an endless number of turns required when we were sealing this for the final time...but this is a good thing if the urn will be buried, as it will protect the cremains from water/elements!). We will be laying mom to rest later this year during the Fall, so this urn has provided a beautiful resting place in our home until we say our final goodbyes. It has somehow made the uneasiness of having mom in our home much less "scary" and provided a peace we couldn't have expected!! I would highly recommend this urn for your loved ones...you will not be disappointed! (As mentioned in another comment, the inside is not a fine polished surface like the outside, but it didn't bother us at all to place her remains inside, as she had been returned in a plastic bag, which is the standard procedure for funeral homes to preserve the entirety of the remains). My wife passed from Covid in August 2021. The crematorium didn't have anything available that I thought fit her personality. I saw this and knew this fit perfectly. She had many flower tattoos and a hummingbird on her arm.Quality is good and enameled finish is excellent. I had to take a small wire brush and clean up the threads of the screw on lid. But that isn't a big deal. A little Lock Tight on the threads when we placed the ashes in the urn and we wee done.It also was 1/3 the cost of the ones at the crematorium. And feels to be of similar quality.

My mother recently passed, and she'd always cared for and loved "hummers" off their back deck. So, when I saw this hummingbird-inlaid urn, it was a no-brainer.The quality of the exterior is superb. The interior, as one person complained in a review, is raw, like pot metal. It doesn't have to be finished to a polish inside, does it? It doesn't bother me any. The lid threads are small and you have to screw or unscrew it for awhile, which is a good thing. More secure.Anyway, it was the perfect size for the amount of ashes inside, with some room to spare. I think my mom was around 5'5" and 125lbs in the end. (that info matters, as far as volume of ashes)Do not hesitate on this. Far and away more affordable than what you get in a funer home or crematorium, same quality.

We used this for my mother’s funeral service and ash placement. It’s the right size you’d need, we had some trouble with other options because they’re meant for ash splitting and not the entire bag, this fit the right way (Sorry if that’s weird lol)It’s also metal on the inside and looks dainty on the outside making it sturdy and beautiful. Overall, when you’re already mourning the person, the last thing you want is a bad product that won’t deliver on time. This really came through for us in every way. It’s beautiful, well made, don’t overthink it if you need it this is a great option.

My dear mom was dying and I had to find an urn ASAP. As she loved birds, I was drawn to the lovely hummingbirds on it. It is a beautiful urn and definitely a great buy! The urns they sold at the mortuary were 3x more expensive and honestly, this one is much nicer! Our family loves it and I’m grateful that her remains can reside in such a special piece. The blue color and mother of pearl is gorgeous.

My daughter passed away 16 years ago. I had quit searching for urns due to the price funeral homes were asking. They were also too "drab". I wanted a colorful urn for my daughters cremains. As soon as I saw this, I knew it was the right one. I am very pleased with my Blue Hummingbird Mother of Pearl Urn!NOTE :There were some negative reviews saying the urns were used and had ashes in the bottom of the urn. The funeral director advised me it was metal residue.
