Does it still charge if a phone has a pop socket on the back?

I have never been able to get any IPhone or Apple Watch to charge on this lamp, even removing the case - I really think the "charging base" claim is bogus.

Item button does not work, won’t switch on or off just stuck, I no longer have the box can I just ship it back in another box to do the return?

If you are under the return period you can choose to return your item and amazon will cover the cost and if you choose to return it through UPS you won't need a box or anything as they provide that when you drop the item at a UPS location

What threading size is on the light socket?

The light fixture comes with the light bulb, but I believe it was just the standard size base.
