I bought this to monitor the battery voltage in a robot.Many software on/off switches are unreliable and leak a lot of power when they should be off. After a short while, the fully charged battery had discharged to the extent it needed recharging.I planned to build this into the equipment but it turned out to be bulkier than expected so I plug it in as needed.Since then, I found a proper on/off switch was the only solution.However, the meter was functional and reliable and would be a useful add on to equipment without proper battery monitoring. It looks great as a panel mount.

Note, to configure, hold the cog button while powering on. If you switch the backlight off, they draw very little current.Excellent little units.

Easy to read/understand the gauges at a glance. I use them to "keep an eye" on the 2 battery packs on my disabled scooter, they will show me if one of the 12 batteries starts to fail before the other and also if they get "out of balance" which would give me a chance to charge them individually to restore best performance.Indicated voltages agree with my (reasonably) accurate DVM so I feel I can trust them.Easy to use but can be a little confusing to set up initially, until you understand what the instructions actually mean

Great item , easy to set up . Viewing angles could be better . still readable but a little faint from certain angles
