Good synthetic brush - but some sizes work better than others
This review is for the Galeria size 0 brush. While my Winsor & Newton series 7 (MUCH better brushes) all have super sharp, pointy tips, this brush's tip isn't quite so sharp. The tip balloons out a bit more than others when paint is added. This brush is good for base coating small minis and doing the dirty work (washes, metallics) but the mediocre sharpness of the tip makes it hard to paint lines and tiny details. You'll need to use a different brush for that. Also, after washing the brush it is more difficult to reshape into a sharp point than other brushes. 4 stars.

Dismal
I was hoping to get at least a couple of painting sessions with this brush before the synthetic bristles became unusable, but the brush came split to hell and even after brush conditioner it still was a split p.o.s. First photo is of the brush right out of the box, second is after brush conditioner and a paint attempt. Simply awful. Wait til the series 7s come down to a non-extortionate price and save your time on these.

these are EXCELLENT brushes, and are among my favorite to use ...
Normally, these are EXCELLENT brushes, and are among my favorite to use (I go through a lot of W&N round size 4). This item, described as a "set of three", arrived as only one single brush, and it was broken in half. By that, I mean the brush was actually already broken before it shipped--Amazon loaders put a single broken brush in a box and shipped it. The box arrived in perfect condition (so the damage wasn't done en route; in fact, an unbroken brush wouldn't have even fit inside the box), so I've asked for a refund.

Bad buy, an unnecessary expense
I needed a brush with a round tip and I thought that this would be the best option, the hair is with open strands and does not mold even when wet in water. I bought a cheap set and they are of better quality. money wasted since the brush is useless.

Well-made and Precise!
Winsor & Newton have regularly produced the most reliable artist's materials; but the GALERIA line of brushes perform so well you don't even have to think about them. Just DO it.

Good value
Excellent brush. I am teaching elementary art age children and for me, this is the perfect size brush for them to use.

Good flexibility similar to sable but cheaper and more durable
Good for small strokes and some detail has a similar quality to sable and is durable

Poor quality brush, avoid.
I bought this brush to use for painting details on scale models with acrylic paints. Unfortunately on arrival the bristles were already split, it looks like an old, abused brush before it has even touched paint. Very disappointed.

Received Frayed / Damaged
Despite coming with the protective plastic cap which should stop damage, the bristles were damaged, frayed and bent out of shape.
