Excellent small 8x28 vortex diamonback binoculars
Clarity is excellent and resolution is very high in the middle 25% of the field, comparable to high end8 x 42 binoculars, dropping off toward the edge as all binoculars do. Controls work smoothly with a comfortable amount of force needed to focus. Size is just right for being easy to use without getting in the way carrying. Image is bright in normal daylight but I expect it will not perform as well as those having a larger exit pupil in darker conditions The field of view is wide but not super wide. Does not seem confining. Eye-relief is comfortable for use with glasses and provides a view of the entire field at once. Excellent binoculars period, but especially considering the size, price and unconditional warranty.

Small and light bino with great optics. Excellent value for money.
Excellent build quality and great optics especially at this price. Focus dial has the perfect resistance for one handed use; Obtaining focus is precise and quick. The perfect companion on hikes. Every bit as effective as the bigger Diamondback HDs. I would say less color fringing than the larger objective lens models which is always a positive. Much smaller than the 10x42 shown. One of my favorite binos in my arsenal. The body feels good in hand being very slim. FOV is wide making it easier to scan and locate subjects. Image brightness is surprisingly above average given the objective lens is only 28mm.Cons: A little more finicky finding view due to the smaller exit pupil. Once you get use to it, a non issue.Easy recommendation. Great build quality and very good optical performance.

Pretty nice but could improve in some spots.
These are my first real pair of binos. I got these as a surprise gift for my wife for our trip to the Everglades. Apparently there are lots of birds there lol. She like birds. Me, eh…not my bag so much. Compared to the gift shop binos at the national park, these are amazing. The optics are razor sharp. They are as sharp as the pictures taken from my mirrorless camera lenses costing 8x as much. I was surprised at the clarity and sharpness. The first thought that ran through my head was I need to get a longer range pair but I snapped back to reality. The 8x28 is perfect. I think the next size up would have too much “shake” making it harder to zero in on the object. She would complain and I’d never hear the end of it. Ugh. These can “shake” a little but it’s not that noticeable, as others have mentioned. The distance is nice. The controls and adjustability are top notch. It stays where you left it.The size and weight is very manageable. It’s not too heavy so you can carry this around all day and it won’t hurt your neck.It comes with a nice case that includes a shoulder strap for the case and a neck strap for the binos. Incidentally, the rubber eye cover loop is not broken, it is split by design. That is so you can remove the rubber cover and still have it attached to the neck strap on one side. Otherwise, it would be hard to use with the rubber cap attached to both sides of the neck strap. What I didn’t like about it…The rubber eye covers, the eye side, comes off rather easily when you put it in the case. The large side rubber cover also comes off too easily. I wish these snapped on or took a little more force to pull off.The metal strap loops are too small. You can only slide a single flat strap through it. So any strap thicker than that won’t fit. I had purchased a OP/TECH strap thinking I could install it but I can’t. It’s wider so it’s more comfortable and usually the included straps are junk-but the included neck strap is okay. All in all my experience with the first real pair of binos has been stellar. I’ve purchased a red dot sight from vortex previously and it has been great. Vortex as a company continues to impress me with these binos.

Exceeded my expectations (8 x 28)
I was looking for a compact pair on binocs I might fit in a coat pocket or even baggy shorts pocket in warmer months. I was concerned that I’d have to sacrifice image quality significantly, and that the field of view would be too narrow, but I have a few trips planned in the near future when I thought my standard size Nikon Monarch 5s would be too much to cart around. I took a chance on these and am glad I did. I love how these cradle perfectly in my hand, and how natural it is to adjust focus with my index finger. Took them out for a long walk on this overcast morning. They really capture far more light than I would expect for a 28mm lens. While there were a few times I lost sight of a moving bird that I might have tracked with slightly more ease with the wider field of view on my 8 x 42 Nikons, for the most part I didn’t really feel like I was making very much of a sacrifice for the slightly smaller size. I’ll be bringing these along to places frequently when bird watching is not my primary goal, but “you never know” what you might miss.

Easy to Use, Work Great
I was a little worried about it being only 10x. It's great for people and animal watching. Picture is very crisp, even in the evenings. My only complaint is sometimes there is a 'barrel' effect if you don't angle it correctly. Very happy with purchase.

8x28 Binoculars with excellent optics
I bought these binoculars not knowing how I'd like the images of a small 28mm objective lens. I've been schooled. They are excellent. Very light weight. Comes with covers for objective lens and eye lens. Easy to hold and carry. Small enough for a sweatshirt pocket. Thats how I used it. I compared my 7x50 Celestron to these and I was very impressed. Great image. A little darker then the 50mm size but that is to be expected. They definitely did not disappoint me and in comparison to the very good Celestron that I mentioned, they were well worth it. Not very expensive. I'm keeping them.

Great quality
Some of the best optics I have used for the money. Very clear lenses and they don’t fog up
