Fully agree with the comments about very little space for ice underneath the "cups". At best there is room for one very thin layer of crushed ice. To mfg: Just make it 2 inches deeper. That being said, any ice you put into the bottom should last a couple hours. The cups are big enough to put most toppings or cocktail ingredients. Its made of plastic but it still gives a classy look to your buffet or bar.

Great tray for keeping condiments cold and addition to outdoor parties

I purchased this to organize treats for my small-medium size dog. It works almost perfectly for this except that there is nothing air tight about it. Some of the treats dried out to become rock hard. When an item is labeled "Dog treat organizer", the price doubles. For anyone wanting to use this for keeping for food cold then there is only one solution: Fill the bottom compartment with enough water, install the top compartments, and then freeze it. Otherwise, there's really not much room for ice cubes.

I used this for salad toppings at a family gathering. Worked great!!
