This little compressor exactly what I was looking for.I have a large pedal board with very little room for additions. When I saw how freaking tiny this little gal was, I ordered her right away.I've never really needed a compressor before because I had been creating my clean and distortion base-tones with a Korg 1500. I've moved on from the Korg and noticed that my clean tones were missing that little added punch. I did tons of research before purchasing and, frankly, learned quite a bit about what compressors are supposed to do for you and what impact they have at different places in the pedal board. My primary axes are a Gibson LP Studio and an Agile 3000M (Les Paul clone with 81/85s by rondomusic dot com (highly recommend)) I have sustain for days with both of these, so that's not what I was looking for. I use the compressor first in the chain and it does a great job of evening out the signal going into the rest of the board. As well, it really adds a nice little punch to the notes when doing muted picking. I've tried a handful of other compressors over the years and everything was way too noisy or seemed to do nothing at all. This pedal does it's job, and does so with very little noise. I'm sure there are better compressors out there, but none are this small and sexy, nor are they this inexpensive.Always keep in mind when adding a compressor to your rig: they act differently based on how you play, where they are in the chain and the type of pickups in your guitar. Experiment with different placements and settings. as well as different compressors, if you can. That'll help you get closer to the tone you're looking for.Pedal configuration:Red Witch Grace Compressor -> Crybaby 95Q -> EH Tube Zipper -> TC Electronic Nova Drive -> EH Killswitch (with Boss Super Shifter and exp pedal in the loop) -> EH POG2 -> MXR Black Label Chorus -> MXR Bass Envelope Filter -> EH Deluxe Memory Boy (with +1 octave in the loop) -> TC Electronic Flashback -> Hardwire Reverb -> BBE Sonic Stomp -> MXR KFK 10 Band EQ -> amp (B-52 AT-100)
