JUNK!
If I could give this zero stars, I would! I bought three of these in 2010. One for me, one for my daughter, and one for a friend as a gift. All three had crapped out within 9 months. I should have written this back then, but forgot. I took two of them to the dump today. I also took three packages of the required tubes that are good for nothing else. Mine and my daughter's worked great for 6-9 months, but after maybe a total of 8-10 baby kegs between us, the refrigeration system quit in both. I know my friend threw his out long ago, but don't know how long it lasted. He didn't have the heart to tell me, and I was too embarrassed to ask. I contacted Krups, and they agreed to accept our two for repairs, but it was going to cost $30 to ship each one to them, and the repairman admitted to me that the replaced or repaired units would probably not last any longer. It wasn't worth the hassle and the additional $60. Wasting $400 was enough. Maybe they have improved them now, but I still see recent reviews like mine, so I doubt it. BUYER BEWARE!

Great product
My brother got a BeerTender for Christmas. We totally liked it so much we came home and ordered one on Amazon.com. We received it 4 days later. The BeerTender is just right for us. Keeps the beer cold without having to take up room in the fridge. I have only had one keg in it but as far as I can tell, I am going to enjoy the BeerTender. I would recommend the BeerTender. Amazon.com was very quick to get it sent out and they even offered free shipping and Fed Ex delivered it four days later and I had it for New Year's Eve instead of January 2nd. What's more is that they had a rebate which you send away and get free pilsner glasses from Heineken along with extra BeerTender tubes. The BeerTender is very easy to set up and use. This item will get alot of use. Very reasonably priced.

Garbage----
I wish I could award this thing negative stars. Worked for 1 week. When I say worked I mean it barely kept the beer cold and every pour was 75% foam. Then it stopped working completely and the LCD panel flickered. Stay away from this thing.

Design flaw that Krups apparently won't own up to
Bought the B90 from Amazon in February 2010. Worked fine until a month ago when it just quit. A call to Krups revealed it was made in 2008 and there was nothing they could do; they claimed it was completely uncharacteristic for a failure to occur this quickly, but a little research online indicates I was very lucky to get 2 years out of it. There is a small circuit board in it that has failed in many, many units, including other Krups models, and costs almost as much as a new unit, assuming you can actually find the circuit board. If this was a car Krups would have had to recall it long ago, but they obviously aren't standing behind their products on their own. It's a great concept, and actually a very simple product, so not sure why Krups can't make one that lasts. I was promised a rebate certificate toward purchase of a replacement unit but haven't seen it yet; in the unlikely event it's substantial such that a new unit would be very cheap, I might try again, but certainly not at full price. I think it's noteworthy that we were given a fairly expensive Krups coffee/espresso machine as a housewarming gift and it too just died after a short time. Maybe they use Lucas, The Prince of Darkness, for all their electronics...in any case, buyer beware.

Nice for small parties
I ordered one of these when they were priced at $95.00 from one of Amazon's suppliers. It works fine, and holds just about enough beer to get you through a small party, provided there are not too many heavy beerdrinkers in attendance. If you have guests that really savor draft beer, though, it's no big deal to keep a spare keg in the refrig. The unit looks good on the kitchen counter as well. The downside is that they are now offered at $199.95 and are no longer a smart buy at that price, because there's now less costly alternatives being sold. Also, you need to order the tubes, and Amazon offers a few alternatives. Beware, though, that some involve paying over $60 for a pack of 10 of these one-use tubes. Since the tubes are plastic, not solid gold, be sure to get the ones priced at $9, and not $69. These units take only one style of keg. The range of choices may be improving, though. My supermarket now stocks Heineken regular and light, as well as Newcastle dark ale. I suspect that if Budweiser and/or Coors Light were available in these kegs, both this type of unit as well as the kegs would fly off the sellers' shelves. I'm glad I've got mine. I only wish I had bought another before the price doubled.

Unsure about other's reviews?
I'm not sure about other's bad reviews in the past, but I got the Beertender for my husband for Christmas, and we have had no problems so far. He's a HUGE beer drinker, so this made for the perfect gift for him. He thinks it's great that every time he enters the kitchen, he can pour himself a cold one. I will say though, that I do agree with reviewer's comments about the "chrome" seeming cheap. It's nothing more than plastic and I do worry that one of these time while changing out the keg, it will break. But, thus far, no problems, in fact we both enjoy it!

Gift for the BF
This model looks a lot more classy than some of the other Beertenders, and my boyfriend adores it. He could not have been happier when he saw what he was unwrapping for xmas! The temperature gauge and the beer level gauge work accurately so far, and it seemed to cool a mini keg pretty quickly. No offense to Heineken, but I can't wait for other beers to come out with mini kegs so we can get some variety! Would DEFINITELY recommend this to any beer lover, especially if you host on game day!
