So I have had maybe three DIY lighting kits over the the last several years. The design to this one is much smarter to avoid excess cords. The only improvement would be adhesion and more flexibility with the length of the cord from the outlet to the box (with the turning knob). You could almost do away with the controls on the box (to make it much smaller) and just use a wireless remote/pad.In my 2018 Kia Soul I had trouble finding a good mounting spot for the drivers floorboard. I also couldn’t hide the cords as much as I’d like in the gear shift area.

We just bought a used 2016 Ford Fusion and love the car but where disappointed that this year did not have ambiance lights like previous years had. That is where this kit comes in. I researched how the panels of the center console came off. Bought some automotive panel popping tools and a knee pad. Spent some time looking under the dash and the seats seeing where I could install this kit and run the wires.In the end I decided to use the rear cigarette port that is located on the back of the console between the back seats. I popped the rear cover off and used 3M double sided tape (not included) to stick the controller module to the outside of the console and then ran the wires down and under the panel. Then split the wires into two sets (one for each side) and then started them under the next section of panels on each side. Ran the shorter cable to the seat. Found a place that it would not get pinched when the seat was adjusted up and down. Ran the cable through that place and left it for now. I then ran the longer cable down the side along the console panel to the dash and left it for now. I then repeated the process on the other side. My car is equipped with knee airbags so I had to make sure that my wires and the light strips did not interfere with there function. (In other words do not mount the lights on the airbags! Duh!) Finally I found a suitable place deep under the dash. I started one end of the red 3M tape film and pressed the light strip onto the dash. Slowly pulling the red plastic film off as I pushed the lights on little by little. This was important as to not get the 3M tape dirty or stuck in the wrong place. For the seats there was no suitable place to use the tape method of install unless I trimmed the lights instead I used zip ties to hold them onto a tube under my seats. Again make sure that the cable is not going to get pinched anywhere and also has enough slack for when the seats are all the way back AND forward!When the LED strips where fully installed I made sure the cables where all hidden and then popped all the panels back on.Installing it using the rear cigarette port IMO makes the install look very clean. It is still really easy to reach back and hit the power button and the mode buttons in my particular vehicle. Every vehicle is going to be different so take your time and explore your options to make your install as clean as possible.I went with this kit over others because of 3 reasons.1: Long length of the LED strips.2: More LED colors and modes not found in other kits.3: No wireless controller to loose or break. (or IR sensor to mount!)This is by far the best automotive interior LED kit on the market at the moment. I will be getting another as a gift for my brother.

When installing this kit into two cars, a 2011 Cadillac CTS and a PT Cruiser, I ran into troubles with wire length. The CTS was Complicated because of how tight all of the dash panels are to fit wiring behind and how big the car is. I had to install it under the back seat and adhere the first seat of lights angled downward into the floor off the seat to make it work and then had about 3 inches of wiring showing while it was being stretched to the limit to make it up to the front. The lights are good and look good, but they also go off with the vibrating of the road if you don't have music overpowering the road noise. Also, the remote worked for a good 10 minutes after installing. I gave the car back to the customer, and they said the remote had already gone out, but they were fine with it because they bought the kit and would just use the hard-wired controller. The app was also spotty and rarely worked unless the phone was the almost touching controller.

I bought this last year in October and it is working perfect during last one year. I drive with Uber and Lyft. My riders love it and pay good tips.I would love to buy this for my each car.

I just got my 2014 Scion TC Monogram and so excited to hook her up. Came across a video on you tube about this Air goo led plug and play with music sync. So I decided to try it and am very pleased and surprised. It was as mentioned, plug and play. Easy to install and great to experience. The led strips are approx 12inches long. There is a great amount of wiring from the control unit to the strips to place them in various places in the vehicle. The led strips also came with 3m sticky backing already installed and ready for application. Peel and stick. However, I took plug and play and ran with it. I weaved the led strips underneath the consoles and wedged them in places and under the seat. Check out the pictures. In a nut she'll, this is a great buy and for the price you can't go wrong. The led music sync is ok, it has many static colors to choose from and several blinking modes. Over all its a gtray way to entertain friends and new passengers.

**UPDATE**The seller was very responsive and sent a replacement set. I’ve not had a chance to put it in yet but I appreciate their desire to fix the situation.Half the string (so the entire passenger side) went out after a MONTH! Only used them twice. Super disappointed

I knew the adhesion would be underwhelming; based on past reviews, but I bought this product for the price and its light features. The mic that listens for the music works well; just gotta make sure that the mic doesn’t pick up noises from the car/outside to keep music synchronization with the lights. The lights look beautiful; especially in rainbow mode. To fix the adhesion, I replaced the old adhesion with strong double-sided tape and clipped them with zip ties to make sure they don’t fall off again. Hopefully, this company will find a solution to their adhesion problem and not make their customers fix the adhesion; but other than that, good product.
