Worked well, but color was darker than expected
Melted fine in the glue gun, but the overall color (I ordered bronze) was much darker than expected. It was more the color of an old tarnished copper penny.

So much easier!
The glue gun secret is so fabulous! Doing wedding invites. This makes it so easy to puddle the wax, and stamp many quickly. Genius!

Buy a low heat glue gun!
Exactly what I needed to use for my save the dates!!! Easy to use and beautiful! Make sure you get a low heat glue gun!

Perfect!
These wax sticks worked great for wedding invites! Theyโre sized for full size hot glue guns which is far easier to use than the mini sticks that I first purchased on Amazon. While itโs hard to say exactly how many seals youโll get out of a pack, I was able to do 60 with a single pack and plenty to spare.

These are an absolute must have
Iโm kind of upset with myself for not finding these sooner. All the time I wasted melting wax the traditional way is just so sad. I make wax seals and a lot of them for my small business packaging and there is no better way to melt wax for seals than this. Make the switch you wonโt regret it. Also the wax is nice I have had wax in the past that just looks like plastic but not this stuff.

It was perfect
The wax does melt quickly, as long as you know that you will be fine. I didn't have any issues with it dripping. I pulled the wax stick back a little ways when I was letting it sit and that solved the problem. The color and shimmer was perfect.

Fast, simple, and fun!
My fiance and I have done a large number of wax seals on all of our wedding invites. The gold color is perfect and the glue gun sticks fit perfectly making it easy to do several wax seals in a row.

Awesome but be careful with type of hot glue gun you buy
I used these to make wax seals on my envelopes and they turned out beautifully BUT the wax got too hot in my glue gun and it ended up melting into/seeping into the glue gun and ruined it. I ended up using a lighter to light the stick and it would drip onto the envelope and then I would press it with the wax press afterwards. This did slightly burnt the white wax but it still looked great!I guess just check your hot glue gun and see if itโs compatible first or if you can alter the heat settings.

Brilliant quality sticks
I've spent a small fortune on these little gems in the last two weeks. Making wax seals is very addictive and therapeutic. Invest in a quality 11mm glue gun that has an adjustable temperature control and anti back flow features and you won't go wrong. Hot wax should generally be melted at 110 degrees, however my own gun is 150 degrees minimum setting and I have no problems at all. The wax quality is perfect and so easy to use. These sticks are for a large glue gun, not the little 7mm crafting ones. I recommend keeping a frozen freezer block (like you use in picnic freezer boxes) for placing your brass stamp on in-between stamping wax seals. It helps them set faster and stops any wax sticking to your brass stamp. Another little tip I can recommend, is dispensing wax roughly the same size as the stamp head, that way you'll make perfect little wax seals without mess or waste. And do remember, you can re-melt and re-use any wax seals that you mess up using a melting spoon.

Messy!
I bought these for my glue gun as the other set i had you had to wait a long time for the wax to melt. these melt too hot in glue gun, becomes very runny and burny. leaves the glue gun messy too

Messy
Once the glue gun was hot, the wax melts fine but too much/too quickly so when the trigger is pressed to expel wax, a lot of it comes out the back of the gun. This causes a lot of waste and then the wax that comes out of the back hardens as it cools preventing the trigger from pushing the stick forward...

Nothing like the colour described and you expect!
Colour once melted is rusty and brownish, nothing what you expect from the pictures. Nothing to do with maroon colour or wine...ordered the China red vac in the end as we were disappointed with the colour.
