RLSS DB8-I 8 Inch Skimmer w/ Waveline DC6000

At first, the skimmer worked great but soon enough, irritating noise was coming out of silencer like a scooter on idle. Brought it back to LFS. After a few days, they couldn't find the problem. Got a brand new one. Again, great performance, skimming was outstanding. 8 to 10 months later, it stopped. The pinwheel was jammed. Looked like it overheated. Then I worked it out and forced the propeller to turn but was very tight. So it started to be noisy obviously because it was to tight. One thing lead to another, power supply failed, probably because it jammed again... That was a few months after the warranty expired. I found a power supply that could replace the original from an electronic store. Made it work another two months. Then it jammed again. I had no choice but to enlarge the orifice of the pump with a drill and a sanding drum. Worked another week but it stops every once in a while with a loud noise...and now I gave up. This is the second time I have problems with Waveline pump. Never again. 600$ down the drain.
