Awesome Tools
Great for making a few quick hole and you don't want to drag the drill out, or finish those last few holes after the battery goes dead on your drill. I used the smallest gimlet to drill screw holes in a railroad tie for mounting a solar light. It survived, so it is plenty tough!

High quality
Perfect for #6, 8,10 and 12 wood screws. Good threads on nearly 1/2” of the tips with nice waste chutes up most of the shaft and well built handles for precision work. Very easy to use.

Great Product
I purchased this tool to carry with me while I am backpacking/camping for drilling into Birch/Maple trees to gather the sap, also to just have on hand. The Gimlets are light weight, much more compact than any other hand drill, and self tapping. I tried the 6mm Gimlet on a piece of scrap oak, and it drilled through it without any trouble. After using it for almost a month, I am impressed at how well it works, and would recommend this to anyone who needs something that is small, light weight, and durable.

These are very good for starting holes for brass screws like on jewelry boxes and fine cabinets 👍

Practical "old school" tool!
Had hoped to find these for ~30 years! Saw them first in France, called "vrilles". Easy to carry and fix minor "projects" even while traveling light. Looking forward to first opportunity to try them out.

Great tool to have in the kit
I do a lot of primitive or bush-craft camping. I had the need to drill a hole in a wood pole and was miles away from any source of supply. A friend loaned me his gimlet tool. I knew I needed to add this to my gear but didn't think it would be easy to find. These Robert Larson Gimlets are the best. Well made and of sizes I would most likely use. Properly taken care of and they will last for generations.

Easy to use...
These are handy gadgets and should work fine as a hole starter in wood.
