Good finish
This was applied to an indoor newly installed pine stair rail. The colour match wasn't what I expected (bit darker) but ok. I followed instructions, light sanding first, two coats (a day apart) then light sanding again before third and last coat. It looks good - a nice satin sheen. I wondered if I might need also to varnish after but that's not needed. The brushes cleaned easily in water.

Excellent obliteration.
It flows on well. does not leave significant brush-marks and it covers well. They recommend 3 coats but it is so easy to apply and it dries so quickly that 3 coats don't take long.Recommended.

Excellent product
I used this on my timber garage doors, the doors hadn’t been painted for over twenty years and the results were really good, highly recommended.

Much Like the previous 5-Year version
Windows were originally painted with the 5-year version, 'teak' colour. Discovered that was no longer available, so got this. The colour dries out the same, and it works well, particularly if you stir it regularly. Cleanup with water is effective. The house is in an exposed place a mile or so from the sea, and the Ronseal 5-year woodstain on the hardwood glazing bars and sills was particularly prone to splitting and flaking off (possibly because a dark colour gets much hotter in the sun). I rubbed back with 120-grit paper and washed with fresh water, recoating after the surface was dry. I gave the windows three coats this month. Only time will tell if it is any better. The majority of the old stainhas lasted a good five years or longer.I will report again in ten years' time.
