"swivel" head is actually a rotating joint, but still works-got thru bend
I got this to remove a grease clog in our pipe. I was worried that the head wouldn't get thru the first bend in the clean out entry, but it worked fine. I used the rotating head. I had to make 2 passes to get it unclogged. If it seems to get stopped up, just keep pulling it back and forth to get the grease unclogged.I thought the "swivel" head was actually on a jointed swivel so it could get thru bends, but it's just a rotary joint. This "swivel" end actually is supposed to connect to the pressure washer end. I guess this is to prevent kinks.

DIY hydrojet
I honestly didn't know what to expect trying this on a commercial restaurant main to the grease trap. I would say these are easier to work if you start from the grease trap toward the facility. I was able to get it through a 2" P-trap for a floor sink! It also did fine on a 4" drain going from my grease trap. Making the first turn wasn't very difficult. We ran into blockages right away. And you kind of have to work your way through them, a good technique is to loop the hose and twist to help it move along. If you watch some videos on youtube, you will see that the heads tend to favor a side so it's not going to run down the middle of the pipe but along one side of the pipe. So you need to keep doing the twist technique. We spent a lot of time on this, and we kept seeing new stuff come out. First we only got through maybe 10 feet, but eventually got to over 30 feet. You just have to keep working the line. In the end it's a dirty job. Watching the videos on Youtube help you to understand what's going on in the line since you can't see it. I wish I would have tried the other nozzle that had a forward shooting tip but I only tried the spinning nozzle and I'd say it did a pretty good job. It made me realize that the plumber I had using a snake was hardly cleaning the pipes. The drain has not been hydrojetted in the 13 years of owning the restaurant so I'm sure we took out what seemed like buckets of chunks and sediment. The parts seem decent. I was very concerned at how much the hose was kinking when I was stretching it out. But when it's pressurized it's a different story. I used this on a Husqvarna electric pressure washer from Costco and it performed better than expected. I'm sure my gas pressure washer would have done a better job but we were doing all of this stuff late at night and the electric was nicely quiet. I'll say also at $50 for this kit, it's cheaper than hiring a plumber. I paid $650 for an idiot plumber that didn't know to start from the grease trap and he did absolutely NOTHING. You could buy a new waterjet kit each time you have to do maintenance and save a bundle.

Works Great!
Read the instructions, be patient, and it will clean out your drains/pipes like a champ!Specifically used mine to clean out a couple French Drains. It's a fun and satisfying tool to have in the arsenal. Connected it to my 3,400 PSI pressure washer and it had no problem cleaning the drains (again, be patient and shimmy the hose forward and back). Wear gloves and eye protection just be safe, there are videos on YouTube of people incorrectly using these and it's not a happy ending. It's highly pressured water shooting out tiny holes, it can be dangerous. Lastly, this did not cause any damage to the underground piping. I know because I ultimately had to dig mine up to fix the incorrect installation. Almost forgot, I ran this up my neighbor's tall downspout and totally cleared the blockage, this thing is great!

No more greasy pipes!
Moved into a house that had renters for the past 15 years, recently had a major blockage in the drain for the kitchen/laundry. Tried snaking it with no avail. This worked great to blast apart major grease blockages which I then had to suck up with a shop vac. As others have said, be ready for back flow and have a plan to remove excess water going into the pipe . I had to really jam it in and twist it, it did not self-propel through the pipe as described but that's fine.

Worth every penny!
I had a nightmare situation where at least 5 professionals in my area had said I needed a new septic drain field. I had seen plenty of videos of people jetting them with success but even the companies who advertise it didn't want to do it for some reason. The system is about 30 years old but has worked flawlessly until now. As a last ditch effort before spending $10,000 I figured I'd give this a try. Attached to a 4200 psi pressure washer, the longest part of the fix was removing and replacing the heavy concrete lid to the septic tank. I could feel it bore through 2 different blockages. When it was done the system immediately drained below the baffle and seems to be working properly. Only time will tell but there's no doubt this jetter does exactly what it was advertised to do. Apparently all the local plumbers I called are scamming criminals. Hats off to Ridge Washer for saving me at least $9950.

Didn't work on my 2 in lines ptrap
I was trying to jet a floor drain in a laundry room through a cast iron 2 inch line and this would just not fit through a 2 inch line. I was trying the twist trick and no matter what it wouldn't work. I ended up pulling out my wire drum line and using it and it worked fine, even with some attachments I didn't think would go through that same P-trap. I am just not inclined to spend the money on that hose that is almost four times the cost of this one that I have no doubt would clear the trap.

Effective
Removed two clogs from a 45 year old 2" drain that served laundry and kitchen. Used 1800 psi / 1.2 gpm Ryobi pressure washer and cold water. Ran all 50 feet in through a roof vent to clean the entire line, back and forth one foot at a time after removing the clogs. Zero mess going down the vent. Great instruction sheet. Sturdy hose, no kinking. a bit stiff so I used a second vent after the head wouldn't get past a bend in the first vent. Probably not powerful enough to clear oval office toilet clogs, but highly recommended otherwise.

Helped clear up perimeter drains
Had a massive storm, discovered water leak in basement, flooded entire basement. No plumber available even during emergency and even if I paid more. So called a few friends for ideas and bought this upon recommendation from a friend to potentially solve it. We did get a plumbing camera down and drain was filled with water (looked and smelled like pond water). No wonder leaking into house cause it’s blocked somewhere.Used the attachment head that has single high pressure hold in front and a few holes angled back. The front hole delivers high pressure jet to breakup blockage and the rear nozzle helps pull hose in and back sprays unwanted material out.Let hose in and out 5 times (took less than 10mins) per clean out starting from the one that exists into sump (end of perimeter line); I suspected the blockage was this last little bit on line as the water coming out was a dribble.Worked towards and around house. Hose line is 50ft and therefore gone well past the next clean out. But I wanted to give it a very good cleaning. In total took less an hour. You know each clean out is good when you see clean (not dirty or different color) water drain out of your perimeter drains; then move to next clean out.Leak gone, drains work way better. Massive storm around a few days later and drains worked great - steady stream out now! Wish I had known about this piece of kit BEFORE the leak and restoration company / insurance had to be called!!So easy to do, I’ll do it once a year - best $60 I ever spent!

Life saver
My main drain line was clogged and I was looking at 500+ $ to call a plumber. I followed the instructions and I fed the hose through my garage drain pit where there is clean out access. It unclogged the drain within 10 minutes .Very grateful it workedMario
