Safer Brand Insecticidal Soap & Pyrethrin Concentrate, 32-Ounce

Annihilated the aphid infestation on my sweet pepper plants. Did not harm my plants at all.

This worked well once I learned that the pH and hardness of the water used to mix it has a huge impact on the results.Most organic pesticides will be ineffective if the water pH is 8 or above, or if the water is hard/very hard. They are most effective when mixed with water that has a pH 5.5-7 and has low mineral content (soft water).Check the water quality report for your municipality to find the pH and hardness of your water. All will be over pH 7 but some areas don’t have hard water.If you have a reverse osmosis water filter, use that. If you don’t, for hard water add 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar to the water before adding the concentrate. For soft water use 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar.

Easy to apply and working on our cherry tree. Smell is not offensive, and this large bottle makes this quite economical.

I had an infestation of red/black beetles all over the front of the house ( in the landscaping), my regular pest control company sprayed several times with negative results. I have sprayed with this 3 times so far, the first time knocked them into submission, the 2nd and 3rd times were for cleanup of stragglers and new hatch lings, I am going to do it a 4th just to make sure. I have sprayed over the last 3 weeks, giving a week in between sprays.works very well.

Very few products make me run to my computer and write a review, but here I am. This stuff works. I've been dealing with a white fly problem in my herb garden for nearly a year, having tried several organic options. I've sprayed this stuff once a day for 4 days straight. 4 days ago, when I shook once of my herbs 20-50 flies flew out. Today, a single fly flew out. So happy I found this stuff.

The 32 oz bottle won’t treat anything close to 14,400 square feet like the listing/seller claims. The label states you can expect a single bottle to cover anywhere from 2,500 to 3,600 square feet (see photos). The “concentrate” isn’t very concentrated. It takes 6.5 fluid ounces (a little more than 3/4 of a cup) to make a gallon of solution.Other brands offer concentrates that are far more potent, so you’re better off buying pyrethrin and insecticidal soap concentrates separately and creating your own mixture. It is completely safe to do, by the way, and you’ll get far more coverage for your money.
