I really enjoyed this film. I cannot say enough about it. It rivals story-wise anything Pixar has done. The animation is good, but not great. But this is about the story and it delivers.

We read good reviews for the new movie release & were all ready to go see in the theater when we realized there had been a previous film.Bought this low cost on Amazon & it brought us up to date perfectly

This is an excellent animated film about a child that was supposed to be a "spirit" but instead was a "demon".Who is going to be killed by lightning in five years.As might be imagined, raising such a child is quite difficult, particularly when you live next to a village that rather objects to being destroyed whenever it gets out.Well, five years is quite some time, as celestial clocks and earthly clocks aren't synchronized. By the time the day arrives, things have changed. Being born a demon does not necessarily mean he has to /remain/ a demon.If any of this, or the trailer, or any other review, makes this sound at all attractive, I would suggest watching it. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Excellent animation for its time. And a great story line and good voice actors. I heard that the animation in Nezha 2 which was just release Feb 2025 is even technically better. I streamed this to prepare for Nezha 2. Nezha is a well known mythological figure in traditional Chinese culture. Think of "Apollo" or "Pan" for a similar type of story in the West.

Love watching this movie, was very happy it was at a great price, bow i can watch this any time i want!

This is the top grossing Chinese animated film of all time.While not quite on par with the best of Pixar it is still a very impressive technical achievement.The story seems to borrow a lot from Chinese culture mixed with elements of Anime like DragonBall Z. I can't say that I fully connected with it, but I enjoyed it for the pretty visuals and for seeing just how far Chinese animation has gone in the past few years.Looking forward to seeing future efforts from this studio in the future.

I really recommend this movie. It has some really positive themes for kids and I was touched by the family relationships portrayed.
