This item was a perfect fit for my lamp post. I like the color of the golden sphere on each end, they compliment the black very well. It feels nice and heavy. I suspect it will be durable given the way it feels. It was a very easy to install, all I needed to do was pull one's sphere off and slide it on.

I have a light post which, when originally purchased, included a ladder rest similar to this Westinghouse Ladder Rest. However, the original ladder rest on the light post was made entirely of plastic, and over the years ended up becoming faded. I decided to try this ladder rest, since it looked very similar to the original, as a replacement to make the light post look newer and brighter.This ladder rest ended up exceeding my expectations! While the original was made of plastic, this ladder rest is predominantly all metal. The size of the rest itself was perfect, and fit in the place of the original ladder rest without any trouble or modifications. The spherettes were easy to remove and put back onto the ladder rest, making installation a breeze. While both spherettes do remove from the ladder rest if necessary, I found that the one was attached a bit tighter than the other, which leads me to believe that it is meant for only one to be removed, but both can be removed if needed.I have a feeling that this ladder rest is going to last for quite a long time. I do highly recommend this ladder rest for anybody looking for a replacement for their light post, as long as the diameter of your existing ladder rest matches the diameter of this one.

Fits the pole we purchased perfectly and looks great! This was a good buy but the pole came with a crossbar so that one is now by the bird feeder in our yard.

When we moved to our house the lampost was in rough shape and the cross arm was missing. I had no idea how easy it would be to order this and make the lampost beautiful again. I am thrilled.The only drawback was the size of the existing hole was a bit small and we had to sand it to enlarge so as to fit the crossbar. Not a big deal but you should know that.As others noted, the crossbar is semi-gloss, not matte black. Our lampost needed to be repainted anyway, so we painted it to match the crossbar. It looks great!It is very sturdy, we have a rather heavy flowering plant hanging on ours and it is totally fine.I highly recommend this piece. What a difference it makes to refresh your older lampost.

Just as described. Quality and finish appears durable upon receipt. Easy to install and disassemble if need to for paint refresh after long term use. Packaging was done as to not damage product. Shipping timely and notified of status appropriate.

This was exactly what I was looking for to replace my old, no caps bar. It is perfect and I like the gold ends for a touch of class. Many reviews said the cap ends were hard to get off. Only one of mine wouldn't come off but I'm glad of that anyway. I put 4 stars for sturdiness only because I'm not sure how the caps will hold up in strong winds and weather. I added a house number sign to swing from the bar so we'll see in time how it holds up.
