Cute story of how we can talk to ourselves in a positive way
Cute book that encourages you to try new things. And not to believe your inner voice "fixi" when it tells you that you aren't good enough or that you can't do something.Encourages the reader to believe in themselves.Love reading it to my little girl to teach her how to try evem when she doesn't get it right or makes mistakes.I also think it will help my grandson when I read it to him! Definitely recommend this book to read to your little ones to teach them to continue trying and not to give up!

A very important tool to increase self esteem & positive self-talk!
My 4 year old son has recently been saying some very negative things about himself, and has been struggling with his self esteem. I bought this (along with the other growth mindset books) and now it's in a rotation with our other positive self-talk books. We love it! My son loves the story, and I think it's actually working because his negative self-talk is decreasing. I wish this book was around when I was a kid. I highly recommend!

Great learning tool!
Romi is a little girl who has two invisible friends. Fixi is her negative friend and Gowi is her positive friend. Romi listens too much to Fixi and feels like she can't do anything right. The story is well written with beautiful illustrations and shows that building self confidence is important to achieve any goal. "Your Thoughts Matter" is a wonderful book to help teach kids to believe in themselves. There's a page In the back of the book with "discussion starters" about mindset. Highly recommended

TWO WAYS OF THINKING
My first time reading a book in this series. Romy has a secret that she hasn’t shared with anyone, even her mom. She has two friends inside her head. Growi encourages her to be positive about new things and try to push outside her comfort zone. Fixi urges her to play it safe and not attempt anything new.Romy experiences a particularly bad day at school. She forgets her gym clothes, drops her lunch, and has difficulty with her lessons. Will Romy resolve the conflict between her best friends inside her head? This book contains expressive pictures that keep the plot moving. Readers get the opportunity to download coloring pages and discuss the story ideas with brainstorming questions at the end of the tale. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers as a guide to positive thinking and building up self-esteem.Recommended particularly for readers in the third to sixth grade when these issues are emerging

Love! Love! Love!
Was SO HAPPY to finally see a children's book about GROWTH and FIXED MINDSET! This is a book not just for children but adults as well. Loved having a discussion with my kids about this afterwards and now they know not to listen to "Fixi" and tell him to take a hike! Great illustrations and very engaging and relatable to all children! This is what kids should be reading in schools and all classrooms! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Gives us a way to discuss growth mindset in real life situations
I feared this was going to be one of those awkwardly written children’s self help type of books that was too cheesy and obvious for my kids to get into. However, it has given us a new language to use about growth mindsets and I’m so glad we purchased. My 6 year old is into the story and understands the message, and my 9 year old tolerates it more for the message than the actual story. On any given day, you might hear me or my six year old or my nine year old say something like “that was your Fixi talking!” or “What would Growi say?” We’re reading a growth mindset workbook at the same time and this book really helped us pull it all together. I highly recommend it if you have a child who is stuck believing that he or she can’t change!

Cute story.. helped talk about anxiety with my son..
My son was struggling with anxiety. Mostly at night with sleep but sometimes with school drop off. Bought this and a few other books to help talk about what he was feeling..

Highly recommend this book
What a wonderful book my son loves it and I love it too. Training kids from early age to notice their thought patterns and teaching them that they have a choice on what they will focus on. ✨⭐️

Great book
Loved the illustrations and the Growi and Fixi characters. A very useful way to describe how our brain wrestles with positive and negative thoughts. Highly recommend.
