I finally splurged and am very happy I did; this is a nice mat with a great feel and looks like it will last for many years. As others have noted, I had to adjust some movements to avoid sliding quickly across the surface (ouch!), but that same texture keeps me from slipping even when sweaty and gives the mat a nice durable feel. Love the color and the variation--gives me a different meditative experience each time I use it. Width is average, maybe a little wider than an average mat, but length provides extra room, which is perfect because my dog usually joins me. On the pricey side, but I would still recommend. I love it so far.

Beautiful neutral. I was worried about this color . Looks good just basic . Not too warm or too cold in its hue. Great texture

I wanted a mat that was longer and that I could wash easily, I heard cotton yoga rugs were the way to go. After first use before washing it, I pressed both my forehead and chin to the mat and wound up with indentations in both places for a full 24 hours. Thought washing it would maybe make it softer, so far... no dice. Got yoga knee cushions for my knees and any poses that require my face to be in the rug. Love the length for my 5'6" long limbed body type though. I'll still use it, just wish it was softer. Very well made.

This is such a solid matt that I ordered a second one, and now I can make what is close to a large square. Thick and durable without being too heavy. Rolls up smaller than expected. The natural material is superior to foam/rubber in every way with the added benefit of electrical grounding.

I love this mat for outdoor practice! It’s nicely made and the colors are lovely. I like to spritz it with a bit of water infused with essential oils to make it a more grippy. If your palms sweat naturally that’s not needed. The sun does not damage the mat like it does with rubber mats. And a good shake is all you need to clean it off. I’ll be taking it to the beach with me this summer. It’s also very nice for a yin and/or restorative practice. I’m so pleased to have added a yogasana cotton mat to my collection of yoga necessities. I’ll be putting it to use and will report on how it washes once it’s required I do so. Namaste🙏

My mat needed to be washed three times before it could be used due to the purple dye running. If you get this one, I strongly recommended reading up on how to stop colors from running with cotton items. Since I purchased it, I have learned this is a common issue with cotton mats.The mat is not soft but it gets better with each wash. Other reviews thought this was a negative but I was neutral on it. If you want a softer mat, I recommending getting a rubber mat.The quality of the stitching is ok.The thickness of the mat is perfect. The description states it is thick but I would consider it medium.The color is very good. Even after the dye ran on the first two washes, I still liked the purple color.On a wooden floor, the mat can move significantly depending on the yoga class. I am going to try spraying the bottom of the mat with a little water to get better traction. Outside, the mat works much better.I am not sure whether I would buy this mat or any cotton mat again due to the lack of grip on a wooden floor.

I was on the market for a new yoga mat for AGES, and was having a hard time finding something eco-friendly yet versatile for other types of workouts. THIS RUG IS IT! It's definitely a slight adjustment of incorporating spritzing it down with a water/essential oil blend during my warm-up for better traction, but as more of a seasoned yogi, I feel super connected to the ground and my practice overall than I had with years of using more common rubber yoga mats. It works great inside, and even better out in the grass, where other mats just didn't cut it. If you're looking to add some depth to your practice, get this rug! I want a second one so I can have an indoor and an outdoor rug. I've been highly recommending to everyone!

Very pretty mat. Initially I liked that it has no odor and the color is pretty (purple), but for my Vinyasa practice it started to stretch out of shape and made it difficult to hold the postures properly, especially warrior and side angle. I contacted customer support but they refused to return it so I now have a $100 throw rug. Ugh. I am female and weigh 139 lbs, so this should not have stretched out like it did.
