Perfect for MSX Computers — Including Yamaha MSX2+
I own several MSX computers, including a Yamaha MSX2+ KUVT model. These machines have RGB ports, so I made several RGB to SCART cables following the proper specs. However, when I tried using basic SCART-to-HDMI converters from Amazon, nothing worked correctly. The image was unstable or didn’t show up at all. Then I tried this OSSC and it worked immediately, right out of the box! I was honestly amazed. I had started to think the problem was the MSX RGB port OR my soldering skills, since none of my cables worked with the other converters. It turns out the real issue was those cheap converter boxes. This OSSC SCART box works flawlessly and brings out a clean, sharp, and incredibly stable image from my MSX machines. I’m attaching photos of the first cable I made. In the photo, you can see the Japanese version of the Yamaha MSX. I will also update this review as I continue testing the box further. Five (5) stars! It simply works and works beautifully. Thank you!

Awesome
If you have compatible hardware it's really a nice piece of tech. It also pairs nicely with an mclassic in some cases. Highly recommend!

Great value, breathes new life into classic consoles
This upscaler works fantastic. I was a bit skeptical when I first purchased it, but after using it for months I can absolutely say I’m satisfied. Out of the box, the remote didn’t work consistently. That said I was surprisingly able to fix this by pressing the remote face-down on my desk firmly. I believe a connection was loose, and that solved it. The built in options are great, and the build quality feels solid. I can’t say I’d feel great about dropping it or stacking anything heavy on it, but you can tell it’s decently constructed. The sound and video quality are great. Input lag is basically nonexistent, at least in my experience. My original Nintendo Wii was given new life, and I’ve finally been able to enjoy using it on modern 4k displays. Overall: works great (-1 star due to the remote situation), feels decently solid for what it is, and has lasted me at least several months of sustained use. Just make sure you do your research on what connections and cables you need for certain outputs and you’re all set.

Works great!
It works easily out of the box using a SCART cable, and there is a LOT of functionality beyond the basics you can tap if you’re savvy enough. Tested on my PS2 with immediate results. RGB input is REQUIRED; N64 users in an NTSC region will need to mod their consoles. Pictures are OEM composite output cables directly to TV and then through the Mcbazel OSSC using a SCART cable.

Didnt see any imporvment.
Did nothing that a $10 component to HDMI adapter could not do for my PS2. None of the settings did anything to improve the picture.

Bring your old videogame consoles to life!
I've tried a ton of options to get my ps2 to look good on my modern TV. My journey ended with this purchase. If you want your retro consoles to not look dark and muddy on your new tv and you don't want to break the bank, then give this a try. You won't be disappointed!

For PS2; WiI, Gamecube this device has brought new beauty.
After buying the OSSC converter I have been playing through my entire library if PS2; WiI, Xbox and Gamecube. You must get the SCART cable to really see how much this can do. I absolutely love love love this product. I have been enjoying it every day. To see how good many (not all) games really look is astounding. Some games that were badly made, no graphics will make them a better game. Games that were higher production quality to begin with shine! I can’t believe I waited so long. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of making this purchase. Just don’t forget to get the SCART cable, and set youPS2 to RGB in the setting. It takes a little playing around to discover how to manipulate the image, but once you get it. Boom! Games like Shinobi, Nightshade, Drakkengard, Pokemon Coleseum get new life.

Returned, will get the official one
This item is one version of the OSSC, and turns out it is not case-compatible with the official one, having several different components populated on the board, so it will not fit in the normal OSSC cases. It is not at all confidence-inspiring that the manufacturer here deviated from the official board layout and component selection. The PSU is extremely cheap, and some things are just incorrect. Some of the components I noticed were different are: - the screen: The height of the screen is quite a bit lower than what's shown in pictures of the official OSSC, and on closer examination, it appears the screen was soldered to the wrong side of the board because of layout issues. - the buttons: the buttons here have yellow nubs on top, but the official one has low profile tactile buttons. This is another point where 3D printed cases made for this (such as those sold by Laser Bear) will interfere with this OSSC, preventing the case from closing. - The audio select switch: the switch is mounted to the bottom of the PCB instead of the top. There appear to be traces for the switch on the top of the PCB, but it's not clear why they were mounted to the bottom of the board. Again, this is an issue because cases will have allowance for this switch, and expect the switch to be located on the top of the PCB. Given that these components were swapped or moved, I can't be certain about the rest of the component choices, and given how cheap the power supply is, I'm not confident at all that the manufacturers here prioritized quality over price in any way whatsoever.
