The Twelve South AirFly Pro is an excellent accessory
**Twelve South AirFly Pro - Wireless Transmitter/Receiver for AirPods & Wireless Headphones** As someone who frequently travels and prefers using wireless headphones, I was intrigued by the Twelve South AirFly Pro. This device promises to bridge the gap between traditional in-flight entertainment systems and modern wireless audio devices, making it an attractive option for frequent flyers like myself. **What I Like:** - **Versatile Functionality**: The AirFly Pro can function as both a transmitter and a receiver, which is a huge plus. As a transmitter, it allows me to connect my AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones to any device with a headphone jack, such as airplane entertainment systems, gym equipment, or even older stereo systems. As a receiver, it turns wired speakers or car stereos into Bluetooth-compatible devices. - **Dual Headphone Support**: One of the standout features is the ability to connect two sets of headphones simultaneously. This is perfect for sharing a movie or music with a travel companion on a flight, ensuring both of us can enjoy wireless audio without any hassle. - **Compact and Portable Design**: The AirFly Pro is small and lightweight, making it easy to carry in a pocket, purse, or carry-on bag. It comes with a handy keychain attachment, so I never have to worry about losing it during my travels. - **Long Battery Life**: The battery life is impressive, offering up to 16 hours of use on a single charge. This is more than enough for even the longest flights, and the device can be recharged quickly using the included USB-C cable. **What I Don’t Like:** - **Initial Pairing Process**: While pairing the AirFly Pro with my headphones was relatively straightforward, it took a couple of attempts to get everything connected properly. Once paired, it worked flawlessly, but the initial setup might require some patience. - **Audio Lag**: There’s a slight audio lag when watching videos, especially on older in-flight entertainment systems. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it can be noticeable if you’re sensitive to audio sync issues. The lag is minimal but worth mentioning for those who prioritize perfect synchronization. - **Price**: The AirFly Pro is on the pricier side for an accessory, but given its versatility and functionality, I find it justifiable. However, if you’re only planning to use it occasionally, you might need to weigh the cost against the frequency of use. **Bottom Line:** The Twelve South AirFly Pro is an excellent accessory for anyone who wants to use their wireless headphones with devices that don’t support Bluetooth, particularly during air travel. Its versatile functionality, ability to connect two headphones simultaneously, and long battery life make it a must-have for frequent flyers. While the initial pairing process might require some patience and there’s a slight audio lag with video, the overall convenience and performance make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to enjoy wireless audio wherever they go.

Twelve South AirFly Pro Review: Enhancing In-flight Entertainment with Ease
As a frequent traveler, the quest for the perfect travel accessory can feel endless, particularly when it comes to finding solutions that bridge the gap between modern wireless technology and the often outdated in-flight entertainment systems. The Twelve South AirFly Pro Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter/Receiver emerges as a game-changer in this space, offering an elegant solution for using AirPods Pro 2 and other Bluetooth headphones with any 3.5mm audio jack. After using the AirFly Pro on multiple flights, I am thoroughly impressed by its performance, design, and the freedom it offers. Ease of Use The AirFly Pro is remarkably user-friendly, with a simple setup process that involves plugging the device into the headphone jack of an in-flight entertainment system and pairing it with your AirPods Pro 2. The pairing process is swift and intuitive, allowing you to connect up to two devices simultaneously. This feature proved invaluable on a long-haul flight where both my partner and I could enjoy the same movie without the hassle of tangled wires or subpar airline headphones. Design and Build Quality Compact and lightweight, the AirFly Pro is the epitome of travel-friendly design. Its sleek black exterior is unobtrusive and blends well with any tech setup. Despite its small size, the device feels durable and well-made, capable of withstanding the rigors of travel without issue. The inclusion of a small travel pouch is a thoughtful touch, providing a convenient way to store and protect the device when not in use. Performance The true test of any Bluetooth transmitter is its performance, particularly when it comes to maintaining a stable connection and delivering high-quality audio. The AirFly Pro excels in both areas. Throughout my flights, the connection to my AirPods Pro 2 remained flawless, with no noticeable lag or dropout. The audio quality transmitted was clear and crisp, allowing me to become fully immersed in movies and music, thus greatly enhancing my in-flight entertainment experience. Battery Life With a battery life of up to 16 hours, the AirFly Pro easily lasted through long flights, and it can be charged via USB-C, which is convenient and fast. The ability to charge it using the same cable as my laptop and phone simplifies packing and ensures the device is always ready for use. Compatibility One of the most appealing aspects of the AirFly Pro is its wide compatibility. It works not only with AirPods Pro 2 but with any Bluetooth-enabled headphones or earbuds. This versatility makes it an essential accessory not just for travel but for use at home with equipment lacking Bluetooth capability. Conclusion The Twelve South AirFly Pro is an indispensable accessory for anyone looking to use wireless headphones with in-flight entertainment systems or any device with a 3.5mm audio jack. Its ease of use, excellent performance, and broad compatibility make it a standout product. The freedom to use my Apple AirPods Pro 2 during flights, without sacrificing audio quality or dealing with cumbersome wires, has significantly improved my travel experience. The AirFly Pro is a high-quality, versatile device that I would highly recommend to any traveler or audio enthusiast looking to bridge the gap between wireless audio and wired sources.

Great for using your own Bluetooth devices on long flights
Bought because I like using my own Bluetooth headphones when I fly internationally and want to watch in flight content. It is really useful but some airlines are rolling out built in Bluetooth capability so I don’t know if it’ll continue to be useful. It works really well for what it’s meant for, I’ve never had connection issues and I’m super satisfied with it. Ive also used it to make my record player Bluetooth compatible w my soundbar until I get proper speakers. I think it would be good if the pairing was a bit more intuitive and it’s hard to tell how much battery is left in the product and when you need to charge. But otherwise it’s a great product.

Need a two-prong audio adaptor
Beware that this blue tooth for audio does not come with a two-prong audio adaptor!! This means that this device will not work on the plane if one doesn’t have the adaptor!! Other than the above issue, this nifty little tool works perfectly on the plane. Connected to my AirPod pro seamlessly. Also note that on longer flights, the air pods pro will run out of battery sooner than this device. Hopefully one has a backup plan.

Awesome
This thing is awesome, it took a little to get both headphones paired but once we got it it worked so well. We used it on planes and in the airport so we could watch our shows together.

A required piece of kit for any business traveler
This is a game changer for me while business traveling (which I do almost weekly). I know some airlines are providing Bluetooth enabled connections, however not always reliable or present. I get asked weekly...... What is that?? After I explain, most are searching or ordering while still on the plane. I have purchased several for friends and family and they are all fans as well. Heck, I wish AirFly Pro would give me a link, so I could make some money on all these sales I am driving for them. Twelve South.... hit me up!!! ha

Must have for air travel!
Worked as advertised with Delta’s IFE systems! Easy to connect, and sounded great with no noticeable latency! Right out of the box, I was able to use it on 4 different flights with no issues! It did stay connected for the duration of a 7.5 hour long haul flight!

Works okay, but!
I bought the Twelve South AirFly Pro specifically for use with the Quietvox system used by many cruise ship companies for people taking onshore excursions. The Quietvox system allows the tour group to wander around and hear the tour guide. For some reason the AirFly Pro will not stay connected to the Quietvox receiver. After 1-2 minutes it drops the audio. I have tried it with different volume levels, different channels and does not work. Pryor to leaving on the cruise, I tested it using an Apple iPod in my garage. It worked fine. I connected to the TV in my garage and it worked fine. Both tests I was able to walk 50-60 feet away without losing connection. I also use it while on an airplane for audio from the inflight entertainment system without issues. I can use my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones on my Apple AirPods. (The Sony headphones are better for blocking out crying kids and inflight noises) I contacted Twelve South support and they suggested the following things to try: Turn Bluetooth off on any nearby devices. If a nearby device to which the headphones/earbuds have previously been paired, such as your phone, has Bluetooth turned on, the earbuds won’t break this connection to pair with the AirFly. (I turned of Bluetooth on my phone and the issue remained) Reset the AirFly. Turn the AirFly on and hold down the button on the side for 5 seconds. If this is an AirFly Pro, make sure it is not connected to power, and make sure it’s in TX mode. You’ll know it’s been successfully reset when the AirFly begins blinking white and amber (pairing mode). (I reset the AirFly, repaired the AirPods and the issue remained) Reset your headphones, earbuds, or AirPods to factory settings (please refer to the headphones’ user manual, or Apple instructions to reset your AirPods). (Same answer as above, no joy) Finally, try to pair the AirFly with the headphones again. If the issue persists, it’s possible that the AirFly Pro isn’t fully compatible with the Quietvox system. Since you purchased it from Amazon, I’d recommend reaching out to them regarding a return if needed. (Nope, way beyond the return window.) I did all the above while onboard the ship connected to QZ system. Same issue, drops connection after a few minutes. I guess I wasted $50..
