PROMAXI US Replacement Flex Cable Wifi Antenna Parts for Apple iPad 2 2Gen

After I installed I only got 1 bar when I was standing next to my router. I re-installed, checked all the connections and could not improve the reception. Finally, I looked at the solder joint and it was globby and ugly. My guess is that it shorted the flat copper antenna pad. I purchased another antenna from another supplier and it immediately worked like new. The solder joint looked much better on the new unit. Unfortunately, in the process of taking the iPad apart several times I accidentally cracked my new digitizer screen and now have to get another one.

I bought this WiFi cable replacement hoping it would fix my weak signal on my iPad II. It was worse that the first replacement I purchased (from another company). I read that there are many "Bad lots" of WiFi Cables out there and even after reading all the reviews I had High hopes. The one I bought came quickly in the mail so I thought this was a great start. after I installed it, I could only get reception about 5 feet away from the router/modem. I ended up buying a WiFi extender just to help push the signal so I could use my iPad at the other end of the house. often times "0" reception. It seemed to get worse over time. I couldn't even use my blue tooth program that I rely on heavily. I am a musician and have a blue tooth page turner pedal I use with my iPad program. I couldn't even use it 4 feet away from the iPad even when I was withing 5 feet of the modem/router. Not good, especially when you rely on your equipment for work. I just replaced the WiFi cable with another (from another company) and guess what? It works like the original OEM cable did; Super connection. I tested the blue tooth from 20 feet away and it worked outstanding. It works with my JamBox from 30 feet away. The WiFi signal picked up all the way outside the house to the street!Summery; the product itself didn't perform. Hence...the 2 star rating. Perhaps I just got a bad cable. I know that I was meticulously careful installing it. Third time's a charm as the saying goes...but frustrating!!

I cut mine when opening my iPad. After watching a couple of YouTube videos, I felt confident enough to take on the task. The procedure is quite simple but takes time and care. Many more screws to remove and potentially lose, plus removing the LED, motherboard and unplugging a couple connectors to access the cable.The part seems to be working fine and I am writing this review using my iPad wifi.I ordered this on Saturday and it arrived Monday, it doesn't get better than that.

purchased this since I damaged my last wifi antenna when I replaced my digitizer.Easy to install, watched a couple of youtube videos to figure out how to do it.I did not remove the motherboard to replace this.There are other videos on youtube which show how to do it without removing the mother board.A word of advice, have a good quality pair of tweezers available to help snap the cable into place. Will make it much easier to install

This will save your butt when you try to replace your ipad 2 screen and accidentally tear the wifi antenna. If you regularly areplace screens, this is an absolute must have! It will happen eventually and it only takes about 5 minutes to replace if you mess it up. These are cheap too! No reason not to get it. It works like oem and fits fine. All adhesive and screws holes in the right place.

Work like a charm....unlike other dead beat sellers. Beware, some seller do not inspect their merchandise prior to sending. It is a cheap item but if not working you have to go through a lot of hassle to return or waiting to buy another one. Take a chance and buy couple, just in case one does not work.

Yep. I can confirm what others are writing about. This antenna only work if your are about 5 feet away. I had thought I installed incorrectly and went to the reviews to see if others are having the same problem, and they do. This product is no good. It was frustrating.

iPad 2 fixed, and good lord I feel sorry for you if you have to replace this thing. I don't mean to discourage but be ready to remove/replace the iPad's motherboard JUST to get to the tiny spot this thing plugs in to. Afterward, iPad 2 picks up wifi just fine and from any where in my apartment.

La antena funciona a la perfeccion, pero el cable es un poco corto y la pieza q conecta a la placa no hace una conexión tan buena como la original, de modo q el montaje es un poco laborioso y parece no muy robusto. Aun así, llevo 2 semanas con ella y funciona como la original

先ほど、電源端子部品のレビューでも同様の文章を書きましたが、改めてこちらにも記します。ジャンク品のiPad2を数個買い込んで、パネルの修理やらロジックボードや液晶交換などをしつつ、復活させていました。iPad2は2011年の機種ですが、現時点（2016年10月）でも十分に活用できる現役機種です。重いですがタブレットとして適度な大きいサイズで、液晶は見やすく処理も優秀です。私は特にiBooksでの書籍（PDFファイル）閲覧、写真閲覧の際に重宝しています。そんなiPad2は液晶ガラス（デジタイザー）を割ると、初心者にとっての交換作業は少々厄介です。iPhoneとは違い、iPad2は「液晶の固定にネジを使わずにUV接着剤で貼り付けられている」という、中世の宮大工のような匠っぷりをみせています。ですからどのような修理作業をするにも、はじめにドライヤーで液晶パネルの周囲をざっと周囲を温め、この接着剤を解けやすくした後、アルミ製のヘラで端っこをこじ開けつつ、割れた箇所を氷でも砕くように勢い欲そぎ落としていく必要があります。慣れてくると力加減が分かって、結構簡単にぺりっと丸ごと剥がせるようになるのですが、最初のうちはガラスにヒビを入れながらがりがり忍耐強く取り外していくこととなるでしょう。さて、ここで2点の注意が必要です。右下部分にWiFiケーブル端子が、右上部分に電源端子が、まるで切ってくれよと言わんばかりに液晶パネルに張り付いているのです。こちらも慣れれば、どこにその端子があるのか知っているので全く問題なくパネルを剥がせるのですが、知らないうちはむしろ率先して端子を切り裂いてしまいます。そもそも、そのトラップ位置をじっくり調べてから修理しろよと言われそうですが、私にそうした慎重さは一切ありません。そこで、こちらの修理部品が必要となります。この修理部品はWi-Fi機能を一手に担っている端子です。商品写真にあります左側は接着させるだけ、右側はロジックボードの裏側にはめ込む形となります。（この写真は向きを逆にした方が親切ですね。実際の構造は接着するのが右、ロジックボードに差し込むのが左です）交換作業はロジックボードを取り外すところからのスタートとなりますが、iPadの中身はちくわのようにスカスカしているのでiPhoneほど難しくないと思います。iPAd2の修理トラップに引っかかってWi-Fi端子を切ってしまった方は、こちらの交換を試してみると良いと思います。

iPad 1世代のwifiアンテナが壊れたので代替え品をAmazonで探してました。残念ながらお目当の商品がなく、一か八かで２世代のwifiを購入しました。結果、wifi,bluetothもつながりましたが、線の長さが違うのでどうにか液晶下に収まるように工夫しました。ちゃんと収まらないと液晶を圧迫して変色することもあると思います。保証はしませんが３ヶ月たった今でも使えています。
