Great gloves with one exception
I'm a mobile forklift technician by trade so I use these gloves almost daily during the winter months in PA. Forklifts don't always break indoors. I've been using this particular pair for a couple months now and find them well worth the money spent.I've used Mechanix Wear gloves in the past and really haven't had any issues. I see several reviews that complain about sizing issues, not sure what that is about because I had absolutely no problem with the sizing. I do however have a problem with the velcro strap that fastens the glove to your hand. It's not very good. I want to stress that I don't know if Mechanix Wear actually uses Velcro brand, but whatever they use isn't very good. After a couple weeks of wear the stickiness sort of wears off and the strap doesn't hold very well. Some great features of this glove is that they are very warm for the size of the glove. That is to say that the glove is thin in comparison to the warmth. I find them very warm, my hands don't get cold when working outside using these gloves and they are thin enough that I still have the feel in my fingers to handle small nuts and bolts. I was quite impressed with the warmth. When they arrived I figured they wouldn't be very warm because I noticed how thin they actually were for an insulated pair of gloves. If you work in Arctic conditions you may want to keep searching but I've used them in 20 and 30 degree weather and they are great. They also wear like iron. I'm constantly handling sharp objects and parts and haven't noticed a rip or tear in the gloves. I have some other Mechanix Wear products and they also wear great, these didn't disappoint. So overall here are my Pro's and Con's:Pro's:Thin enough to still have feeling in your fingers to handle small partsWarm enough to keep your hands warm on cold Northeast winter daysWear like iron, no rips or tears after several months and I use them almost dailyFit very wellPriced rightCon's:Strap that holds the glove around your wrist doesn't last long. The "stickiness" wears offOverall I would absolutely recommend these gloves for outdoor work of any kind. I'm very satisfied. The only reason for the four stars is due to the strap around the wrist not lasting very long.

Well balanced.
These gloves have become my favorite cool weather work gloves. As an HVAC technician, I need gloves to provide enough warmth to keep my hands working, protect me from lacerations from sheet metal and exposed screws, and be snug enough to give me as much dexterity as possible. These gloves are not the best at any one of those things, but they provide a great balance in all three roles, and I have been happy with them.In terms of protection, after several months of wearing them as my primary work glove, they were still in perfect shape, with no popped seams or cuts on the palms or backs.Properly sized, these gloves fit pretty tightly to the hand, giving the wearer a pretty high degree of dexterity in spite of the thickness of the palm material. You could find gloves that allow greater tactile sensation, such as Memphis Ninja Ice gloves, but you will lose protection and durability. For a work glove, these are surprisingly easy to work in.These are not winter gloves, unless you live in a place where winter temperatures stay above 45 degrees. They are insulated, and they keep my hands warm to about 50 degrees, but they become less effective below that temperature for me. My hands do run a little cold anyway, so you may find that they work down to a lower temperature for you, but they definitely are not for Rochester, NY winter temperatures. They also are not especially warm when wet, so snow can be a bit of an issue. These facts do not make me like these gloves less, really. I just use them as my go-to gloves for fall, spring, and cool summer mornings. These gloves are well balanced in function and come at a good price point. I would recommend them.

As of January 2019, still a little too tight.
As others have noted, Mechanix apparently didn't take into consideration the extra lining in their design of this glove, as the fit is a bit tighter than their norm. I own at least 5 different styles of Mechanix gloves and this is the only glove of theirs that I've tried which fit inconsistently from their norm. I wear medium, which is still a size 9 on this glove. It's not a deal breaker though, unless the size your normally wear is already borderline too tight. For me their 9 fits pretty much perfect with all the other styles I've tried. With this style, there doesn't feel like theirs enough material between the thumb and index finger, as if I can't quite open my hand fully. But that's not a deal breaker.I'd probably try a size larger, if I bought them again. Which I probably won't, as all of Mechanix fabric palm gloves (including their 4x material models) don't have anywhere NEAR the grip of their genuine leather palm models. And despite the added layer(s) these, surprisingly, really don't feel that much warmer than their standard models. Due to the added wind/water resistance, this model shouldn't absorb moisture as easily though, which with regular Mechanix gloves, once they get wet in the winter, they're as good as useless. I'll probably try one of their warmer styles next, even if it is a little bulkier.

Last for more than a year
I don't wear them every day but they've lasted for almost two years of light construction work.

Mechanic Approved
He says they could be more insulated but they do keep his hands warmer than some claimed winter working gloves and they stay pretty dry from the oil and moisture. Good grip for handling tools.

Decently warm and works well with touchscreen
Loved the thicker work glove that works well with touchscreens. Only down fall is that it's not water resistant so it just soaks up any water you touch.

Warm and comfortable
These are not heavy winter gloves by any means. They are a thinner leather/suede type glove. They seem pretty durable, they are soft on the outside and inside. Touch screen feature works good. Good fit. Warm enough for short times outside when its above 20 deg. anything colder and my hands would get cold fast. Very happy with these gloves. Mechanix's brand gloves are one of my favorite.

Good solid work glove
Fit is true to size. I normally wear small sizes for most other gloves, but their medium seems to fit me the best with just a tiny bit of extra comfort room in the finger, but not so loose that I can't grip things easily. The extra bit of insulation is nice as well for colder temps.
