Penn Warfare Level Wind Multiplier Fishing Reel for Saltwater Boat or Kayak Fishing

I bought this reel in advance of going coastal in our Dutch barge, where I would be enjoying a lot of sea fishing .( The reel performed well until our return. )When I was reeling in after a unsuccessful hour fishing the reel came apart from its bracket, all four rivets holding the reel to the bracket had popped out.On a closer look I could see the rivets hadn't been struck properly as I could push them back in place .Very disappointed, it couldn't even handle reeling in a empty line.

Of very good quality, and reasonably priced. As yet to be trued tho (Xmas gift)Well packaged on arrival.Seller v v v helpful indeed 😁Highly recommended!

Just over 3 yrs old. Used on a boat for sea fishing. Had very little use (covid 19 got in the way) less that 36 outings. Spool release lever end got very sloppy within a year. Ratchet won't stay fully disengaged, even a gentle lob causes it to rattle against the cog - which on examination is very loose and sloppy. Something is causing the spool to repeatedly drag when it's meant to be free - looks like it it is the level wind mechanism as the casing slops side to side as it runs, and it sticks at the same point . Pretty much unusable. Very poor quality for a big brand name like Penn. Won't buy them again.

As usual with a penn, very well made reel, the name speaks for itself.
