The Nextgen 3-Eye Infrared Remote Control Extender Emitter Cable upgrades your traditional IR remote by converting it into a digital RF controller, enabling seamless control of up to three devices across rooms. Its battery-powered transmitter fits inside your existing remote, while bright IR emitters ensure precise signal delivery, allowing independent management of multiple components—even two of the same brand.

Perfect solution for IR extension
I have a home theater I've been building for a number of years and when I painted the walls and ceiling dark colors my IR universal remote could no longer bounce the signal off the front wall and screen to hit the equipment in a rack behind me. I did quite a bit of research and for the money found the Buffalo Electronics IR solution was what I needed.Initially I thought I'd have to buy two control blocks in order to have enough flashers for all my devices and then I found this item that has three emitters instead of just one or two like the others that I had found. They installed without any problems and work perfectly. Easy to use (plug and play really) and work great. The only thing I might point out is that they use a thin piece of double sided tape (already on the emitter) to connect to your device. Most of the time this is not a problem but one of my devices had a concave face where the IR receiver was located and the emitter wouldn't stick properly. I was able to make it work with some clear thicker double sided tape (it came in small squares on a sheet). If you need more emitters and don't want to buy more controller blocks, this is the way to go.

Does not work with any of my devices
I ordered the Next Generation Remote Control Extender and it works perfectly. So, I thought, I should be able to hook up even more devices if I purchase this 3-EYE Infrared Emitter.I have now tried (2) of these 3-Eye Emitters and both of them have not worked on ANY of my devices. All I am doing is disconnecting the single Emitter Cable that came with the Extender and replacing it with the 3-EYE Emitter Cable. I have tried all 3 Eyes on multiple components to no avail.I have triple checked that the Emitter Cable is plugged in to the Remote Extender.I have also triple confirmed that I am placing the Emitter Cable on the infrared reception area of my device.I have also verified that the Remote Extender is receiving the signal as it blinks when I press the remote.Again, all of this works fine with the single eye that came with the Remote Extender. I have no idea why this particular emitter will not work. I have contacted the seller to see if they can find out what's wrong.

Works great
This cable works with the remote control extender by Next Generation and gets the job done rather well. The eyes don't stick very well though, so you should plan on taping them over the sensors on your devices. Not a big deal though, since the point of this system is to be able to keep your devices out of sight - so you won't see your tape-job!

This works
I purchased this after I bought the Next Generation Remote Control Extender ( http://www.amazon.com/Next-Generation-Remote-Control-Extender/dp/B000C1Z0HA/ ). My plan was to use the remote control extender to operate my audio/visual system located in the front of my motorhome while I was in the bedroom at the rear of the motorhome. I was hoping that it would operate my blu-ray player, my sony amplifier, and my Dish satellite box in "blast" mode since it only came with a 1-EYE emitter, however, it would only operate the Dish Satellite box in "A" mode while everything else operated in "B" mode. This was unsatisfactory since I didn't want to come from my bedroom at night to change the switch on the Remote Control Extender. The solution to the problem was to buy this 3-EYE emitter. By sticking the EYEs directly onto each piece of equipment, the remote control extender operated all equipment in the "B" mode. Thus, I could operate everything from my bedroom using my URC WR7 all-in-one remote which is exactly what I wanted. (This may be a mute point since it looks as though the remote extender now comes with both the 3-EYE and 6-EYE emitter cables.)

worked like a charm
was exactly what i was looking for now i can control the receiver, cable and blue ray with it all in the closet, no more having to get up and open the closet door to get them to power on power off change the channel or adjust the volume. I am thinking if i add more components i may need the 6 eye and i think it would be nice if they made them i little longer since not everything is on the same shelf

Works great - but..
This thing works great for me. However, it very annoying to see the little things drop from my devices, they don't stick well. They drop daily, I use tape etc., but its not pretty. 3 * for this reason, otherwise I would've give it 5*

Totally didn't work for me
I am not entirely sure what went wrong....and maybe I just haven't put enough time into this, but it did not work. I have two TiVos downstairs that I can watch on my upstairs TV. Initially I had the TiVo remote controlling one of the two TiVos. I thought I could plug this in and use the A - B switch on the remote to control both TiVos. II verified that the remote worked one TiVo in position A and the other TiVo in position B. But when I used this cable, it did not allow me to control both.

Works as advertised
Had the "closed door" remote system working within 5 minutes for both the DVD/sound system and the DVR/Cable boxes. I purchased the cable that splits the IR three ways from one receiver (3-EYE Infrared Remote Control Extender Emitter Cable), the "Next Generation Remote Control Extender" along with an extra rf transmitter that fits into the remotes. This was necessary as I use two remotes which controls two different boxes under the cabinets behind the closed doors. The entire system setup works perfectly.
