Love these bulbs!
These little lights are perfect for applications where you just want a soft warm white light. They only use 3 watts of power, so can be left on all night for less than a penny's worth of electricity. And they put out a surprising amount of light. Here are some of my uses: 1) A TV lamp to put out a little backlight near my TV - I have the bulb in a little table-lamp that shines upward, gently lighting up the wall and ceiling behind my bigscreen TV. 2) I have a couple of these bulbs in an outside fixture under the cover of my deck, and they provide a nice gentle wall-wash light (provides plenty to see my deck steps, and also provides a bit of security). 3) I have several of these bulbs in antique bridge lamps (a type of floor lamp) - provides great mood lighting. 4) I have one in an indoor motion sensor lamp that comes on when I enter the room - provides enough light to find the poorly placed room light switches.I just ordered another 8 of these bulbs, which I am going to give to aging family members to use for night lights -- these provide much more light than a typical night light, so will be safer when they need to walk around the house at night.Power use calculation: These bulbs use 3 watts. Power at my place costs around 12 cents per kilowatt hour (a kilowatt hour is 1000 watts used for one hour). So one of these bulbs will run 1000 watt hours/3 watts = 333 hours for 12 cents, or nearly 30 hours for a penny. Pretty cheap to operate!

Good color, lower than expected output, no UL listing.
I bought this because I wanted to switch out a small spot light that we use over the sink. The color on this one was ok. The brightness was a bit dimmer than I had anticipated. It seemed to work well enough. There's only one concern about the light that has kept me from continuing to use it; I can't see where it meets any listings for testing agencies. The box it came in was a nondescript, plain white box. No UL listings, no brand markings, no nothing. This wouldn't bother me so much but, we keep the intended fixture for this light on nearly 24 hours/day. This is our "kitchen night light." I just couldn't bring my self to trust it for that level of usage, especially not with the kids in the house. So, if you're the trusting type, this light may be just what the Dr. ordered. If, on the other hand, you are the "nuts about safety" type, then you may want to pass on this one.

Very Bright Spot Light Style of Lighting
This is the second style of LED light that we purchased to see how they work and try to save some money with low energy lighting over the long run. These are very Bright 3 light bulbs that give a Spot Light style of lighting, NOT Flood Light style. First I placed this light above my stainless steel kitchen sink, in a can light, and it actually reflects off the curves of the sink. At 5:30 in the morning it's a bright wake up! lol I may go back to the dimmer E27 27x5050 SMD 3.5W 300LM 2800-3200K Warm White Light LED Corn Bulb (110V). Next we put them in our hall that uses can lights. They do a descent job of lighting the hall with minimal shadows from being more spot than flood light. We have a few outdoor flood lights that I would like to try these in when I have time to see if they light up the back yard or not. If you need a small wattage spot light style bulb, these seem pretty descent. Remember they are not a Flood Light.

Bright little light.
Ordered 4 and all four work. Output and color was consistent in all four bulbs. Plenty of light for only 3 watts. The color is listed as warm white and is a nice color, but not so warm at least compared to CFL. I think white or soft white would be a better description. I like the color, wife doesn't. The light is also a spot light with a pronounced hot spot. Was hoping for a more even distribution.Update: after a couple of days, on bulb went dark. It later came back only to go dark again. The bulbs run warm and I suspect the electronics are fired. Too bad, nice bulb when it worked. Three are still working, for now.Update: now only one works.

a bit like an led spotlight
OK, These bulbs are bright enough, but the light is cold. The other thing I don't really like is the amount of heat. They are not as hot as a traditional bulb, but there is heat coming off of it. I have other LEDs with almost no heat, so it makes me wonder, why does my LED bulb = to 75Wats have no heat,, but this on is very warm. Not so warm you can't touch it, but on the edge. Price is ok, but you really need a specific spot for it. ie, my daughters reading lamp. This shines directly onto the book, and it uses little electricity, so ok for that, but not a everyday bulb.

I really like these lights [UPDATED]
UPDATE APRIL 2013: I've had (2) bulbs die of the (6) I have been using. They died within the first month. I have (4) more left as spares so I'll see how those last. I still like the color and brightness but I hope those were just rare duds. The two that died had average home use. I have one as a night light and it has been working every night for over a month now.INITIAL REVIEW:These aren't super bright like the 6W or 9W bulbs but that's why I wanted them. I needed something a bit dimmer than the 9W LEDs I bought. They are similar in light output to 25W halogens and produce a lovely warmth just like halogen lamps. I ordered (4) of these and I'm going to order (8) more. I haven't tested these on a dimmer switch. Only had these a few days now but I hope they are reliable and last as long as they are rated for.

Good small light. My 2nd order
2nd order of these. Ordered 2 the 1st time to try them. Both worked well for a long time with nightly use. One did develop a thermal "open". i.e. works for a while when turned on then goes out after it gets hot. When it cools it comes back on then goes off again when it get hot. (repeat cycle . .) Because these are assembled with screws I opened the cycling light and re-soldered all the connections. Since then it's been working as normal. Long story short, for this price I like these lights. I agree they aren't bright, about the same as a 20w or 30 w incandescent bulb. At this price they are a great little down light. Not exactly a spotlight, but in a 10' ceiling they provide a nice walkway, behind a bar, or wall wash light. I'll probably order them again for other places in our house & cabin.
