What we needed was an inexpensive chain that looks secure enough that anyone would assume it was real and just drive on by. We attach it to the post with a real padlock to complete the deception. The silver/grey color mimics the color of steel quite well, from 6 feet away it is indistinguishable as plastic. The size of the links is heavier than I expected as compared to other plastic link chains that one finds at a home center.
