And I’ve loved it ever since I first tried it. I’m not a huge fan of the smell of this one but it’s a way better product than any other baby shampoo I’ve ever tried. I’ve been buying for over 10 years now.

I have tried many products for my little girl who has allergic eczema. We tried Johnson's baby products, Dove unscented soap, Cetaphil, Aveeno baby, regular Aveeno, Aveeno with lavender, amongst other products and what we found is that nothing works as well as this one. California baby products cost a bit more so we buy the larger size and use it wisely. We save money in the end because we spend less on prescription products when we use this baby wash and I feel better about not having my daughter on all of those different medications. It works really well and has reduced my daughter's outbreaks because it is basically all natural, has fewer ingredients to contend with and the stuff in it she is not really sensitive to. She loves the smell, still feels like a little girl, and California Baby also makes bubbles so that she can have a bubble bath and be a kid. Thank goodness we found this product! We use the whole line for her - their sunscreen is the only one my daughter can tolerate. I know each person is different but if your child is sensitive or has allergies, I fully recommend that you try this. They have smaller sizes too so that you can try it to see if you like it.

It is very recommended and very effective for the new born babies have a rashes. My baby got a rashes before since she was born and the doctors said it's normal for the new born babies and it takes a year to gone the rashes. But i never stop searching what's the treatment for rashes. I am not comfortable of do nothing. Until one of my friend recommended for me this calendula bath and shampoo and cream. Only 4 months gone. I am very happy and very thankful my friend recommended this calendula for me. I used until now my baby is 1 year old. It is expensive but it worth it!!! For me the calendula bath and body takes 1 year to use. And the cream for 6 months. . Thank you Calendula!!!

Our baby was getting rash after rash from all the other shampoos and body washes! Our hearts were broken, he was getting so tired of it all and itching... AND THEN we found California Baby! Our baby's skin has never been cleaner and clearer! We recommend it fully!

This soap is great for kids with allergies including oat intolerances. The soap is not drying and the lavender scent is appealing but subtle. It's not overpowering but it would be nice to have a little more scent. We use this regularly due to my son's food allergies and have had no obvious problems with it. We prefer this to the unscented, which my husband claims makes the kiddo smell like "wet dog." The bottle is also very easy to use one-handed, great for use when holding a baby. My son now also appreciates that he can use it himself.I docked one star because some of the product environmental safety sites (EWG) don't have this as a top product.

I am so happy with this. I’ve looked at SO many different baby products & was on the verge of tears because I couldn’t find anything that was actually safe. Everything has phenoxythenol (spelling) or the mixture of sodium benzoate & citric acid (which together can cause cancer). I love the smell too. Smells like strong lavender. I ordered the lotion & bubble bath too. It is a little runny (not watery) but I’m perfectly okay with that. I’d rather not add another chemical to thicken it up when it’s not necessary. I just wanted to add that in since I saw other people bring it up. It’s fine. Very pleased knowing my babies aren’t soaking in cancer causing chemicals.

I’ve been using this product on my daughter since she was born (she is 6yo now) and I know that there were some changes with the formula in that time. However it didn’t affect us in the slightest. She has very thin, but thick hair that gets tangled easily and this is pretty much the only baby shampoo that we can use that doesn’t require the use of hair conditioner right after. I also like that it doesn’t have an overwhelming scent. The only thing I can say it’s not really tear free (at least not for us), so I would be careful not to get it into your babies eyes. Otherwise great product!

I was looking for a tear-free shampoo for my 3 year old that didn't have any nasty chemicals in it. After realizing my options were limited, I read reviews and settled on California Baby's calming shampoo & body wash. I am very happy with the quality of the shampoo. It has a light lavender smell and is truly tear-free.I will warn that if you are a flake like me, and rely on the picture instead of the description (which tells you there are 17.5 oz) you may be a little disappointed in the size of the bottle. I thought the bottle would be larger judging by the picture, but am still completely satisfied and will replace it when we run out. It is a little pricey, but a little goes a long way and the pump makes it easy to pour without waste.
