Soundcast OutCast - Portable Wireless Indoor / Outdoor Weather Resistant Speaker

This unit is great for parties outside. I plug the transmitter into a USB port on my computer and turn on the Soundcast. It connects in a second and starts playing music. You can advance song selection from the Soundcast unit, but this doesn't always work so well. I don't really mind since I rarely want to do that anyway. I connect to a computer and use iTunes to play my music.There is a transmitter unit that allows an iPod to be inserted (and charged) so you can play directly from your iPod or iPhone if you like. I usually play from a computer and use the Soundcast about 40 feet away. The signal passes through walls and works extremely well.The Soundcast has a built in battery that plays for hours, or if you have a power outlet, you just plug it in. If you have two units, you can play stereo through each unit (I haven't done that).The blue-light at the bottom is "cool" looking at night. You can turn on the light at two levels of brightness or shut it off if you prefer.The sound quality is surprisingly excellent. The unit has deep base and sounds great. It has a built in volume control on the unit.Being waterproof means you can use it outside even in steamy or rainy weather. I love this product!

I bought the product a month ago and I found it great initially. However, I already have a problem as the power button doesn't work (I can't switch off the outcast).I called the seller today but as i missed the return date by one day, i have to send it to the manufacturer. Apparently, this problem ocurred multiple times...

I can barely get any sound out of it. I called and emailed Soundcast last Friday and Im still waiting for someone to call or email. I'm very concerned about their support . It sounds great when it's working but you have to be close . They exaggerate it's capabilities. Maybe I have a lemon Ill never know I never get a response from anyone.

Nice sound but no Bluetooth! How can that be...?

Purchased 2 units the first time. the original works great, the other had an issue with the on/of switch not working or working intermittently. returned it and got a replacement. That unit failed again the on/off switch and returned that one. only problem now is I have 3 units but can only sync 2 at a time. Would be great to have all 4 up and running. Other than the high price the units that are operational are fantastic. The saving grace for me is that I am here in California and the manufacturer is not far away , so shipping charges is not bad. There is a company in San Diego that does the wraps for the units, take your own picture or pick from the wraps they have.

Excellent sound, easy operation, minimal distortion at highest volume (which cuts through my table saw noise,) nice design. (Except 1/4 star off for cosmetically poor taste.) Have only had it for a couple of weeks and am very impressed. Will revisit this review if issues develop.

Love this speaker... Perfect for backyard BBQs when entertaining friends and family. Great sound quality though would love more bass for the bucks.... blue lights are a fun touch when it's dark and integrates well with portable mp3 devices through AUX jack and supplied cable.Buy it, you won't regret it.

Bought this product in March and it began malfunctioning. It will not turn off until the battery runs out and the lights won't turn off either. Also the audio adapter cord shocks you anytime you touch it and makes whatever is hooked to it shock you as well.
