My husband and I purchased this flashlight for our son in 2021. I liked it so well, I requested and received the same item as a gift the next year. I primarily keep it in my vehicle for emergencies. I’ve also used it on my son’s forested property to find the dogs. I’m writing this review on January 11, 2025; more than two years since receiving it. In that time, despite being left in extreme heat and cold, I’ve never needed to recharge it. It continues to function as well as the day I received it. The flashlight can be recharged using the included usb cable, which will be very useful in my vehicle. There are four settings. The high beam is very powerful and lights the forest amazingly well. The low beam has been useful to light the immediate vicinity when I’m engaged in activities in the dark, like putting collars on the dogs. I feel secure knowing the red flashing light can alert other drivers if I’m stalled on the side of the road. It functions well. The side light isn’t bright enough to do more than, for example, jot a note. It doesn’t provide enough light to illuminate fine details. I have yet to charge my phone battery using the port on the flashlight, but I’m grateful to have that option. It’s lightweight, which is useful to me when I’m leading the dogs into the house. I can hold the flashlight and lead(s) in the same hand. I also appreciate the strap on the flashlight that allows me carry the flashlight hands-free as it lights the path to my destination while carrying bundles and large boxes. I’m pleased with this flashlight and recommend it to those who are considering a purchase.

This is going to be VERY helpful should we need it again with an 11-day power outage! It's VERY light weight, not bulky and heavy. If you put together an emergency box, it sure won't contribute much to the weight if you have to make a quick exit. During the last hurricane, we needed much better interior lighting. With the front and side lights, we can stand it on end to get light bouncing off the ceiling, too. The light arrived charged, so it was nice to check it's light as soon as we got it. Not sure how long it takes to recharge it or aerobic charged. Instructions say to charge it once every three months if we haven't used it. But we're going to try to find reasons to use it so that we're sure the battery stays charged. Instructions also say if the light hasn't been used in 12 months, please stop using it to avoid safety hazards. (???) If we're ever without power again for such a long time (11dsys), we'll still have to charge it in a vehicle. But it will be so nice to have a bright enough light in the house to see each other at night! It recharges with a USB cord, and computers sure won't be working without power. Now I wish I'd gone ahead and bought the solar powered charger during prime days, too!

Received this product today, charged it up and tested it tonight. I'll say upfront my favorite searchlight is the Stanly Fatmax, which for the past 2 years, has been used on a nightly basis to check for coyotes and other critters prior to letting the dogs outside to do their business (no worries dog lovers, they have a fenced in yard for protection). We live in a rural area, tonight is overcast (i.e. no moonlight) and turned exterior lighting off. Side by side comparison, the Fatmax was brighter with better distance and I definitely prefer the handgrip on the Fatmax. With that said, if I was looking for decent searchlight for emergencies, camping, etc. and didn't need a high performance light, I'd opt for the LE over Fatmax due to the nearly $20 price difference. I haven't tested the battery life, so can't comment on the longevity. Here's some specifics: PROS: 1. The spotlight is far reaching - could see the back fencepost about 300 yards away and was satisfied with the brightness. 2. The lantern feature is a plus (Fatmax doesn't have one), the brightness is ok - tested the high setting in our one car garage - it illuminated the space sufficiently to see in 3 of the 4 corners. 3. Will probably never use the flashing red light but nice to know it's there if the need arises. 4. Lightweight - surprisingly light! 5. The price is right @ $26.30 as compared to the high price of the Fatmax (as of tonight, Fatmax @ $55 - I paid $39 for my 2nd Fatmax only 2 weeks ago). CONS: 1. Was disappointed with the "spread" of the beam - I was expecting a larger diameter beam because the lens on the unit is so large. The spread of the beam was noticeably smaller than Fatmax. 2. The lantern is just ok - it's only on one side of the unit so it doesn't cast light 360 degrees like a standard lantern. Personally, I wish they would've used both side of the unit instead of one side being utilized for the flashing red light.

I love this light!!!! I had a spotlight that I bought maybe five years ago. It was rechargeable and it worked very well. Recently, the battery showed signs that it had reached the end of its life. I was looking for something similar to replace it when I found this one. The reviews were good, so even though it was a no name product, I decided to give it a chance. I like to use it at night in my backyard because there are lots of cool things to see at night. We have lots of different spiders, toads, frogs, scorpions and many types insects. I also use it to keep an eye on the dogs when it is dark to make sure they don't get into anything. My old spotlight was not LED. It would get very hot and I could not have it on for very long because of that and because the battery drained pretty fast. Obviously, since this is LED, that is not a problem. I have only charged it once so far. I have used it quite a bit, even for extended periods, and it still shows four blue dots which is maximum charge. It charges using USB, which is so convenient. I also don't have to worry about misplacing a proprietary charger as I have done with many other things. One this that surprised me was that this is so lightweight. I mean it feels like nothing. I also like the versatility. You can use it as a spotlight but it also has a white and a red light on the sides. The bottom is flat, so it sits upright with no problem. My last light had a handle that prevented it from being set upright. the white side light has two levels of brightness, and I use it when I need ambient light. The spotlight is very bright. I can shine it up into tall trees and it seems as bright as when I use it closer up. This is an extremely useful multi-function spotlight that works very well. I am very impressed.

The lantern gives good light. The charge lasts a long time. It is super lightweight, which is good for both carrying and for accidental drops, speaking of which, drops (inevitable, when juggling lantern, umbrella, and wiggling puppy and leash) have proven that the plastic is not brittle, as no chips, and drops happened on concrete carport floor. Now for the stupid design award: the male to male USB A charging cord... super easy to misplace, short, and definitely not easy to substitute in a normal household! AND no onboard storage for the special dedicated charge cord! With as light as this lantern is, there should have been room for a pigtail cord storage bucket molded into the lantern body. I have small hands and do not find it comfortable to hold. The strap is not exactly body or positioning friendly as it is short and only allows light to shine straight forward and not downward toward a walking path, which is why I complain about the handle which is large in diameter and has molded finger diets, so sliding my hand through the handle to cradle the body to easily position its light downward is Not comfortable. Overall, it provides good light, is rechargeable, charge lasts for a good amount of time but requires a male-to-male USB A charge cord and is large.

When I surprised him with this one, he was sooooo happy! He likes that it’s as light as a feather, has two light settings, by the way the second setting is super bright because it has search light setting, it’s waterproof and if it falls into the lake or pool, it won’t get damaged. It has a RED FLOOD LIGHT OR EMERGENCY LIGHT WHEN YOU GET STRANDED ON FREEWAY. Set this on top of your car so that on coming traffic can see you. My dad was also surprised that the flashlight can also be a Camping Lantern. Or you can use the lantern by your bedside even if not camping. Also had two settings. Bright and low. You just flip the flashlight upside down and there you go; the side light on the flash light turns into a lantern with a soft light. So let me get to the best part!!!! The flashlight doesn’t need batteries!!!! It charges with a USB CORD and once charged, you can charge your cell phone on your flashlight and your tablet etc. ITS A MUST BUY!!!
