I can only give the pack a 3 star rating because none of the black pens worked. Red and blue worked fine and those were the ones I needed for my child’s school. It’s a presealed pack so it’s not the sellers fault that the pens were defective and they were quick to respond to my customer service email. I assume that if the black pens were working they would roll as smoothly as the blue and red did when I checked them.

Pens are the same brand and model as the ones shown in the picture, but they came in solid white casing, not the transparent red shown. Not a huge deal, but not what I was expecting. They do not write well at the *beginning of each use of the same pen*! A warm up scribble on scratch paper is necessary every time I pick it up. I tried several different pens from the pack thinking it was just a solo faulty pen, but each one had the same performance.

Hello, this is the first review I have ever written on Amazon. I am pretty easy going. These pens don't write. I literally spent 2 minutes scribbling and shaking the pen to get the ink started and they don't write. I have experienced this with papermate over the years. It is time I stop buying papermate.

I read the reviews about pens out of ink, but I love this style so much I decided to take the chance. I guess I got “lucky” because only two were out. However, I bought the pack for the blue pens and those were the ones that didn’t work. Just buy them from WalMart. I don’t usually recommend them over Amazon but this item isn’t worth the risk of wasting your money.

What a terrible set of pens. I get that they are cheap but WOW. Every single pen in the pack wrote for a few inches then NOTHING. Pressing soft, pressing hard, nothing. Absolute grbage.

Quality worsening. Some pens in the box don't write, and the others setup writing in a day or two. These used to be good pens. But not for the last two times I've bought them

I already had one of these pens and I loved it for writing notes for school so I thought I would just look and see how much they were and to my surprise they were only 3 dollars o I got them. They are great pens and they write very smoothly. I love pens and I use the more than anything and I would recommend these pens because of the quality and the price.

My son will not write with any other pen but these

Must be quite old or badly stored. Was not prepared to spend about 15 mins trying to get the ink running before using each pen, so chucked most. None worked immediately and needed a lot of scribbling or heat.The pen itself is good, but I'll purchase elsewhere.

with the ballpoint on these pens being on the finner side (0.8 mm), I find it makes my writing a lot neater. I recommend these pens for those who prefer to write with fine pens.
