Excellent chalk, way better than other sidewalk chalk
Update: My two year old loves this chalk and so do I. I purchased the Melissa and Doug sidewalk chalk holders to help protect my son's fingers and the Wee Can Too Veggie chalk (it's expensive). The holders have worked great. His hands stay cleaner and when he drops the chalk it doesn't break. I find the Wee Can Too Veggie chalk so much cleaner than the M&D sidewalk chalk and about 1000 times cleaner than the messy, yet inexpensive Crayola sidewalk chalk. I prefer the way the Wee Can Too veggie chalk draws in comparison to the Crayola and M&D chalk. I also prefer all of the colours (except red) in terms of brightness and colour. One of the best things about this chalk is that it writes on the sidewalk and not all over my son's hands, clothes and anything else it touches. This is EXCELLENT chalk, but wow is it expensive. The colours are vibrant and the ingredients are AWESOME. My son loves this chalk. Naturally, the first thing he did was drop it and the yellow chalk broke neatly into two pieces making it hard for him to draw with. It's too small now and he rubs his hand on the pavement when he uses the chalk. I do wish they had more colours... blue in particular.

Mostly great for sidewalk chalk, useable but messy inside.
This chalk is good for what it is: sidewalk chalk. I was hoping to use it for the bedroom chalkboard but it makes a huge mess with the chalk dust. It does wipe off well with the chalkboard eraser and wipes off really well with a damp cloth. Some colors do not work well on the chalkboard until you grind the outer layer off on the sidewalk. I cannot fault Wee Can Too as it is what it is advertised to be. My thinking is, who needs veggie chalk if it is only going to be used outside? I'd be more than comfortable letting my kids use conventional chalk outside. It's the inside that matters the most!

This chalk isn't as sturdy as traditional sidewalk chalk
This chalk isn't as sturdy as traditional sidewalk chalk, however, the fact that it is non-toxic outweighs that it breaks. Kids can use broken pieces of chalk. That's no problem for me. As some have said, there is sometimes a problem getting color to show easily, but usually if you kind of sand the tip down (rub it on the ground a few times), the area that was giving the problem is sanded away and they work just fine. The only downside is that they are softer, and so they are used quicker and crush easier. If you have a kid who loves to smash things, these can be easily turned into powder, and you may need to buy a little more frequently.

Just ok
For being all natural I can't complain too much but these colors don't work well on my sons chalk board! We hvnt tried them on the sidewalk yet cuz of rain but hoping when the sun comes out and we can draw outside with them that they will work better! Will keep you posted! FYI I live in Oregon

Love!!
This is a fantastic product and I truly appreciate having an option for my little guy to explore art. The only negatives are that they arrived mostly crumbled unto small chunks. Not a single stick fully intact. Also some colors are super bright and others very hard to see. However we haven't used them on black asphalt, only white concrete. So they may be even better against black.Thank you so much for making these!

In that regard - being safe - it is fine. As a product that is supposed to draw ...
We were hoping to find something that our one year old could use safely. In that regard - being safe - it is fine. As a product thatis supposed to draw on something - anything - paper, chalkboard, pavement, etc..., only one color (orange) made any kind of mark and thatvery faintly. I don't know if we just received a bad bunch - but we would not recommend these to anyone who actually wants chalk. If you would like decorative sticks of color that would be safe to eat - maybe

Beautiful vibrant colours
I bought these a few years ago as a Xmas gift for my daughters. We just started using them and the colors are so vibrant. I wasn't expecting that for some reason. They are much brighter than Crayola brand sidewalk chalk. Very happy with this purchase, would recommend and buy again!

I love the concept of nontoxic chalks
I love the concept of nontoxic chalks, however it seems they are dry out. AT least in the package I received, the only one that writes well is the yellow one. The purple and the pink do not write at all. the green one and orange work ok but they are hard to see and you need to write hard to see the very fair colors. My toddler does not write so hard and when she writes, I can see nothing. I love that they are non toxic but they are a little price if only one out of five works well. If they all worked like the yellow one, I would buy again. Otherwise it is too expensive.

Wee Can Too Art Edible Veggie Sidewalk Chalk
This chalk is amazing! Not only fun to play with, but also non-toxic. Great for young kids who just can't resist putting everything in their mouth.
