Tapered, bicycle toe stitching and a softly squared toe create luxurious stylelines. ECCO is a European shoe company founded in Denmark in 1963. Today they own and operate factories throughout Europe and Asia. They produce all the leather used in making Ecco shoes, taking measures to protect the environment at the same time. Their sole aim is to make a comfortable walking shoe.

Great shoes!!!
I had a much older pair of these that I added some insole supports to, but they were getting worn. I first tried a cheaper, but similar style, brand...and sent them back. These Ecco's have their excellent padding around the top edge ankle contact area and this is the key to wonderful comfort (and paying more too). Great shoes...love them!

These feel great. Break them in.
They fit great! Break them in for two weeks and they feel better and better. Watch the toes. The front toe wall wears out first. My go to shoe!

Tight for wider feet
Overall the look is very impressive. Personally, I have EE width and these are a bit tight.

Best Shoes Ever!
I am on my second set of these shoes. I was using another brand previous to this, but once I found these, this will be the way to go for life. I wear these shoes professionally so they need to be comfortable and during as I am walking quite a lot in these shoes. The second set that I recently ordered have still not been worn yet, but I bought them in preparation for the previous ones wearing out. It has been several years now and I have absolutely no complaints and I'm still on the first set. One word of advice, is to get the shoe cleaners for the shoes and do not use regular shoe polish. It is doable to use regular shoe polish, but they do have a better product for this that I'd recommend.

Durable Shoe & Fairly Comfortable
I used to buy new Sketchers every year because they would never last more than a year; sole would wear through and seams would start busting out where the shoe bends. After 4 or 5 years of this I thought "Maybe I could spend a little more and actually get a shoe that will last more than 1 year?"After much research I ended up at Tradehome Shoes in Burnsviille Center where a knowledgeable young man helped me out a lot! He suggested a few styles based on what I was looking for; business casual, office / cube all day, wanted them to last more than 12 months. He happened to be wearing these ECCO Helsinki's himself as well as another guy there. Said he's on his feet all day and the ones he had on were over a year old. They looked... broke in... but certainly not worn out or even close. The other guy only had his 9 months and they looked good too. The price was cheaper than the others he showed as well. Unfortunately the price on Amazon was significantly lower =(I've had mine for 6 months now and they are still in great shape! Only minor scuffing on the tips which honestly I expect since I never polish them and they see some very harsh weather. Tread on the sole has barely worn where as my old Sketchers would be totally smooth on the bottom by now and starting to show where they were going to split.I'd say the comfort is acceptable especially compared to the Sketchers where I HAD to use a cushioned arch support. I have one fallen arch and these shoes have adequate support with out any inserts. There's also a heel cushion which is OK. I did try an insert but it made the shoe too tight so if you still want to use an insert with this shoe I would try a half or full size larger.Hopefully after a year I'll remember to come back here and respond if it's still in good shape. However after 6 months I can still tell it's wearing out much slower than my Sketchers of old.

Most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn! No annoying laces! The support is excellent.
I bought a crop of 3 pairs of Ecco shoes about 6 years ago and loved them. I decided I loved my lone pair of slip-ons the most, since laces are a complete annoyance to deal with and clean. This is the currently the best and apparently the most popular slip-on that Ecco makes right now. Got a pair in the "cocoa brown" off Amazon and it came in looking really light brown and different from the color in the pictures. I applied some car seat Armorall leather lotion on a microfiber rag and let the lotion wet and soak into the leather since they arrived bone dry with no leather lotion or polish. Turned out to be a great idea for minimizing wrinkling, which can be brutal to watch when you first put on new shoes and take a few steps. I went out the next day to an Ecco store and got the coffee shoe cream since he showed me that matches much better than cocoa-brown. Now maybe the moisturization from the leather lotion turned it darker, but they look beautiful like chocolate and have a dark luster. I also tried using the leather lotion with other clean rags on my old Ecco shoes and the colors really came out! Too bad my old pairs are damaged and need to be replaced after 6+ years of scratches and cuts. But yeah, use some leather lotion to get that Ecco shoe cream to really do its job...otherwise it comes in such small amounts it never truly spreads evenly over the entire shoe into the wrinkles and stitches. But getting back to this Helsinki slip-on, the padding and support are far superior to any of the Ecco dress shoes I've ever had! It's snug but even on days where my feet feel swollen, I can stand in the lab all day and my feet/knees feel amazing and energized! It doesn't have that tendency to "fall off" your heel with every step like a cheaper pair of Cairo slip-ons that I tried and returned...the Cairo is super wide and loose, and I didn't like the pointiness of the shoe tips. This Helsinki slip-on feels like it could be used as a running shoe without all the annoying laces coming loose and constantly needing adjustment.

A PERFECT FIT, A PERFECT LOOK
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I put them on and felt like Cinderella trying on the other glass slipper - they fit like a glove, and although I have arthritis in my feet I can walk briskly along the street with no pain at all, and Ecco is a highly regarded company with a well-deserved reputation. When these shoes wear out I shall definitely be making another order for an identical pair, if they're still manufacturing them. I knew I couldn't go wrong if I ordered Ecco, and I was correct.

Love my Eccos !!
Bought these to replace a very similar pair of Eccos that lasted 3 years of everyday work wear.Although maybe 2 or 3 times more than I normally had spent on shoes they have resulted in being much better value for money than buying cheaper shoes that don't last. These as the last pair I had are extremely comfortable and ideal for being on your feet all day. Highly recommend!

Excellent shoes
These shoes were bought for my husband, who has arthritis in both knees and an ankle. They are to replace a previous identical pair which have finally worn out - having lasted for years. He found this new pair instantly comfortable and they help with his walking. They are durable and look smart. Expensive but thoroughly recommended.
