I love this oversized bowl! Great for pot luck pasta salad or mixing large recipes!

As usual, the Pyrex is excellent quality. The lid fits perfectly, and the glass is sturdy. Unfortunately, Amazon did their regular bang-up job of packaging, and had it in a large box (twice the size of the bowl) with a thin bubble wrap sleeve around it, and no other padding. I'm shocked it wasn't broken, because it was banging around in the box with nothing to keep it from sliding around. Amazon, get your act together. I swear you're getting worse all the time.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It came with a lid so I can use it for raising bread without having to rely on plastic wrap -- that was the main reason for my purchase. Also, it is Pyrex, so it can have many uses, ranging from storage to baking casseroles. Also, it can go in the dishwasher, another plus. Functionality: It can have several uses in the kitchen.

This 4 quart Pyrex bowl was just what I needed. I have had the thee-set bowl for many years and it has held up beautifully. But I needed a larger bowl because making a cake in the biggest of the set of 3 was really pushing the envelope. This 4 quart is just what the doctor ordered. The bowl is large enough that the batter won't splatter out when I increase the mixer speed. I also used it this weekend to serve and store a very large fruit salad. The clear glass let everyone see the beautiful fruit inside and with the well fitting lid, there was no need to mess with plastic wrap. It cleans up great when washed by hand but really shines when it comes out of the dishwasher. It says the lid is dishwasher safe, but I just give it a quick wipe with a sponge because I always worry about lids warping in the dishwasher...but that's just me. I knew I would love the quality of this bowl as much as the others. I was not disappointed and you won't be either.

Use the bowl all the time. Love the lid. Completed my Pyrex mixing bowl set. But the packaging was horrible!!! I’m shocked my bowl was not broken when it arrived. It was in cardboard box a lot bigger than my bowl and absolutely NO packing or anything around it! So the bowl must have been bouncing around in there. Just terrible packaging.

Great size and I'm glad it's a Pyrex. Really like the lid - easy to put on and take off. Will get many years worth of use out of this!

Simply one of the best purchases I've made in a while! Perfect for mixing up pizza dough, muffins, cookies etc. The lid is handy for salads. As someone who likes to bake, this sturdy glass bowl feels very nice. I will be buying the other sizes in future to complete my set. Also great for the microwave.

Bought this covered bowl to replace our green travel tote. It is exactly the right size and profile. There is enough room for the hot/cold pads to take your prepared meal to any event. A great replacement product.
