UPDATE: AFTER THREE YEARS, THE CAMERA IS NOW OUT OF COMMISSION. I would still reccomend for price. I don't know why it broke but I got it for like $160 at the time so 50/bucks a year for extra 'eyes' is not bad.I got this in July 2020 because I was in Nashville doing Lyft and wanted to be able to backup any lies/claims passengers would make. Stuff happens. Lol.It was also fun to just go through footage and see all the interesting characters.I have had it more than a year and it hasn't caused any problems. It picks up sound great and video quality is FIRE. Night vision capable too.There are ways to configure your dash to be 'hidden' but I didn't want to go through the pain of wiring the stuff so I just plug it into my cigarettes lighter charging port thingy. It actually stays ON if you leave it plugged in. Why is this important? Because even when you turn your car off you can still have video footage in case someone breaks in or hits your car while you're at work.I would recommend this product.

Easy to use and works as described however the screen is super small and at a weird angle, pretty useless unless you export to another device

The installation is simple with the suction cup, and it has stuck up there through the winter/spring. The user interface is a bit obtuse, easiest is to just pull the sdxc card out and review it on your computer. I did not try the wifi interface as the app gets poor reviews on the google play store. Overall it does the job well, and the price is right.

If you are thinking about getting this camera read this because it’s a horrible idea.I bought the camera and installed it in my car. At this point it becomes almost impossible to return because it is adhesively attached.The product is impossible to setup, doesn’t come with the right chips to setup recording and there are virtually no videos on Amazon or information provided by the company that gives a solid understanding on how to set this item up. I am not tech savvy when it comes to cameras and maybe that’s my fault but I have it installed in my car, but it doesn’t do anything. I bought a SIM card but that didn’t work with the camera. It loops a recording but the setup doesn’t provide for a long enough window to loop. At least, not that I could figure out. This is an over priced item that is difficult, if not impossible to setup and the company does a poor job of providing information that will help you set it up.Maybe real tech savvy people can put this together. I don’t know. The camera has a good angle and is adjustable. The actual device itself is solid but the setup, the program, and the actual functioning of the device is a mess. Trust me, I looked for YouTube videos. There aren't any that help. At least that I could find. Most devices like these can send the footage to a cloud. I can’t figure out how to do that with this one.I recommend if you buy this product; do not install it on your car until you have set it up and sure that it will function. Otherwise, it could be a massive eye sore stuck to the roof of your car without purpose and become valueless.

I really like this dashcam. It mounts well with either the included suction mount or the stick on mount. Video quality is excellent for a camera of this price, and it's low light/night IR video quality is excellent as well. As others have said, pairing with software is completely a failure, but completely unnecessary anyway. Far simpler to pop out the SD card to transfer files to your computer. Oh, I'd recommend getting the optional GPS accessory since it's really cheap, and it works very well.

Sadly this camera had so many problem that I had to return back.After a full research and saw glowing review by some guy on YouTube and reddit i bought this camera.First camera made a clicking noise when i press record.I got another replacement camera which felt like playing Russian roulette. It would start one day and other day it didn't start at all.Quality is ok and i have seen better quality on cheaper model camera.I am still looking for replacement camera to my trusty old viofo camera.

At first I was hesitant as there were no previous reviews listed here. There is another link on Amazon where this same model was no longer offered, so I assume it has a new seller on Amazon.I love the crisp video and full 1080. The only issue that I have had so far was how to slide the clip, and the suction cup mount off the back of the unit. Customer service linked to a helpful video showing how to do this via email.I'll come back later and add more after I tackle syncing with the cell phone app.

The camera itself is excellent. The 1 problem I had was that the memory card wouldn't seat into the spring loaded receptacle after a couple of months. I have to tape it down each time I load it.
